Sr. Product Designer, AI

As a Sr. Product Designer, AI, you will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, team stakeholders, and other designers. Your role will have a direct impact on Vimeo’s business by driving the design of cutting-edge technology in AI, machine learning, and language models. Our vision is to make the power of video accessible to everyone, and we need passionate, motivated team members to help us achieve that goal. We’re looking for someone with a strong visual point of view who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at generating a wide range of innovative ideas.

What you’ll do:

• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions to stakeholders.
• You will employ visual systems to ensure that your designs are in harmony with the broader product ecosystem.
• Lead the entire design process for multiple concurrent projects, from inception to launch, as the sole designer for this team, ensuring all products meet the highest quality standards.
• Work with the AI product team head to craft an engaging product vision for the business unit and establish effective design principles and connections with stakeholders.
• Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, encompassing product management and engineering, to gain insights into both business and user requirements and transform them into product designs.

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

• 5+ years of professional experience in product design.
• Outstanding abilities in interaction design, conversational design, visual design, and product thinking, supported by a robust portfolio featuring web and mobile designs.
• Demonstrated expertise in Figma, robust prototyping abilities coupled with a track record of conducting user research and usability testing to collect feedback and insights that guide design choices.
• Capable of making thoughtful trade-offs and swiftly implementing designs without sacrificing quality.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to convey design decisions effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Software Engineers, as the sole designer.

Bonus points (nice skills to have, but not needed):

• Basic understanding of machine learning, AI, and language models.
• Experience working with remote or distributed product teams.
• UX and site experience across mobile and desktop.
• Knowledge and experience with motion design and animation.
• SaaS experience.

Targeted Base Salary Range:  $117,000 to $178,000

The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.
