Sr. Product Designer - Design System

Responsibilities

• Lead Design System Development: Establish and maintain a scalable design system, defining consistent UI components, patterns, and interactions that align with Amartha's visual identity.
• Collaborate on Design Standards: Translate stakeholder expectations into a clear design vision, setting and maintaining high standards for UI/UX design and visual consistency.
• Collaboration with Engineering: Partner with the engineering team to ensure design systems are feasible, scalable, and seamlessly implemented in code.
• End-to-end Design Delivery: Define and document design requirements for high-impact projects, facilitate problem solving sessions with stakeholders, iterate and deliver the final design to engineering..
• Interface and Prototype Creation: Design user interfaces across Amartha products, building prototypes for user testing and iterating based on feedback.
• Usability Testing and Iteration: Conduct usability studies to test new concepts and refine existing products, ensuring they meet usability, durability, and aesthetic standards.
• Mentor Junior Designers: Provide guidance to junior designers to uphold high standards in design, UI/UX, and visual quality.

• Proven Visual and Design System Expertise: A strong portfolio showcasing 4+ years of experience in visual design and design systems, with an understanding of building and maintaining reusable components and patterns.
• Attention to Detail and Craftsmanship: Keen eye for aesthetics, color theory, and design detail with the ability to deliver polished, high-quality work.
• Effective Communication Skills: Ability to articulate ideas, designs, and rationale clearly to stakeholders, promoting collaboration and alignment.
• Team Collaboration: Strong team player capable of working cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders.

• Experience in End-to-end Design Phases: Skilled in user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual and interaction design, and usability testing.
• Technical Understanding: Knowledge of design systems, UI patterns, and creative solutions to technical constraints.
• Multi-Platform Experience: Experience designing for desktop, Android, and iOS platforms.
• Proficiency in Collaborative Design Tools: Comfortable working in Figma, or similar collaborative design tools.
