Senior Product Engineer

 

 

Our team is working on state-of-the-art technologies for healthcare diagnostics and has an opening for a talented and experienced product engineer.

 

 

An ideal candidate will be able to take a preliminary prototype of a future product (ranging from handheld medical devices to large laboratory equipment), and move through the phases of product development to bring the prototype to market. The ideal candidate will be well-rounded, using creativity and ingenuity to develop robust electromechanical systems, designed for manufacturing (incorporating cost, manufacturability, volume, material sourcing, reliability, etc.). This candidate will work independently with substantial freedom as part of a small, highly-dedicated unit. Prior experience and a portfolio of prior work is required for evaluating applicants.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Take concepts of next-generation diagnostic tools and convert them to final products for use in clinical trials and eventual commercialization
  • Develop prototypes into products that can be manufactured, considering cost, materials, sourcing, reliability etc.
  • Collaborate with engineering team to finalize and select final product designs
  • Design CAD of product designs and provide relevant design information for manufacturing

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • MS (or BS with additional experience) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related areas
  • Portfolio of work for evaluation
  • Strong CAD skills (ideally Fusion360, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Systems or robotics engineering skills (familiarity with electromechanical systems, ie. motor control, embedded microcontrollers, sensor integration, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the productization and manufacturing process for new products

 

 

For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
