Sr. Product Manager

Solana is a high performance blockchain that can enable growing decentralized applications and systems to scale without sacrificing security. Solana Labs is the team that built the original protocol, and is building both the validator client and applications on top of the Solana blockchain; therefore the team is highly specialized, and we’re looking for talented people who are willing to jump right in and use their expertise to help us build the Solana ecosystem. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and results-oriented Product Manager who is passionate about blockchain innovation and is experienced with 0-to-1 product cycles. You will work in a fast paced environment, and you are comfortable with ambiguity, possess the ability to think through complex challenges, able to align cross functional teams, and get buy-in from stakeholders. You will work closely with designers, engineers, and marketers to bring new products to market. Knowledge, experience, and interest in commerce, gaming, and/or crypto products are value-adds for this role.

• Work as the product manager to build products in and for the Solana ecosystem 
• Define Solana Labs’ role and strategy for a specific product area, to maximize long term growth of the Solana ecosystem
• Own the goal and roadmap across the full product lifecycle, from concept, design, implementation, and launch/landing
• Develop customer-centric prototypes for new product explorations
• Proactively communicate your learnings and progress to your team and the leadership
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other functional teams to develop and steer product roadmap
• Define and analyze metrics to guide product development
• Align teams on a shared vision and steer execution on that vision
• Wear multiple hats and roll up your sleeves in driving the success of your product area

• 5+ years experience of product management experience
• 2+ years experience of demonstrated ability to bring new products to market
• The ability to be strategic and analytically minded, with strong problem solving skills - you are not afraid to get into the data and you demonstrate strong business acumen
• Demonstrated ability in both collaboration and leadership, with the ability to align cross-functional teams around common objectives
• Ability to simply and clearly communicate complicated technical topics
• The ability to show empathy, and put yourself in the customers’ shoes
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
• The ability to gather data, synthesize insights and leverage data to make decisions
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Must be open to collaboration and receptive to constructive feedback
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong opinions held loosely
• Ability to work in a start-up, fast-paced environment

• 1+ years experience in blockchain, or a blockchain-adjacent company
• Computer Science or Software Engineering background preferred
• Experience building business to business products

The salary range for US-based candidates will be determined throughout the interview process and can vary depending on experiences, skills, and location. Candidates should anticipate an annual base salary (not including incentive compensation or other benefits) of $USD140,000- $USD230,000 for full time employees.
