Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a Sr. Product Manager who can lead the development and integration of high-performance multi-node systems for HPC, HCI, scale-out storage, cloud, and on-premises infrastructure. This is a key product management role where communication amongst remote teams and on-site product leadership for our development teams is critical to develop and enable operations to fulfill roadmap expectation. In addition to developing new top-of-the-line systems, product managers are expected to collaborate with marketing and sales departments to promote products and interact with customers directly to sell these products. You will use strong technical and communication skills towards product vision, roadmap & business strategy for Supermicro's core product family including research into vertical-based customer solutions and creation of aggressive go-to market plan. Ultimately, as a product manager, you will become a core member of the Server Product Management team and engage in technical, product development, marketing, and pre/post-sales support activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned): • Spearhead projects and inspire cross-functional team members to collaborate and coordinate lab resources to develop solutions • Work closely with sales and customers to provide support on any integrations they need to develop, ie: contribute to customer RFPs and partner SOWs• Develop product roadmap and lead the development and integration of server solutions, aligning closely with Intel, Broadcom, Marvell, Samsung, Kioxia, Micron, Solidigm and NVIDIA • Develop and deliver a clear strategy and partner closely with marketing, engineering, and business development to provide a complete server solutions to customers • Collaborate in developing positioning material - use cases, technical value, and competitive differentiation • Leverage strong technical background to create technical product requirements for cloud/data center infrastructure solutions based on customer requirements, industry trends and business requirements • Have a "roll up the sleeves" attitude and work closely with engineers to help setup & demonstrate key product features and benefits at customer sites, webinars, and special events • Engage with customers at various levels including senior executives, engineering, and product marketing to convey our capabilities and vision, and understand their challenges and requirements • Escalate critical issues to high-level management and vendors for solution as needed • Provide product trainings to internal teams, sales teams and customers • Provide 3rd level customer support to both internal and external as needed

Qualifications:• Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent • Minimum of 8 years hands-on experience in developing server appliances, software-defined storage, cloud solutions, CDN and/or HPC infrastructure is preferred • Support product marketing and/or product management role, must have managed a number of products from initial concept through development, launch, and end-of-life • High level understanding of cost structures for HPC cloud vs on-premises infrastructure • Good understanding of server manufacturing, lifecycle management and FW revision control • Keen understanding of containers vs VMs, object vs block storage, and NoSQL vs SQL • Experience in customer facing positions in data center industry• Strong presentation skills to both technical and executive audiences • Exceptional communication and presentation skill is a must, able to communicate effectively with customers to promote, answer questions, and receive feedback • Nutanix or VMware experience a plus, but not mandatory
