The Network Delivery team works to deliver a full scale modernized Network including new digital products such as Debit, QR, Tokenization and Local Network solutions to meet the evolving demands of global payment networks and adapt to local needs while ensuring continued global interoperability. This enables the Enterprise to attract new customers, operate in new markets, react to changing regulatory demands, and process new types of payments. A role in the Network Delivery team will challenge you to broaden your skillset and industry acumen in a collaborative, diverse and inclusive team environment.
We are looking for a talented Sr. Product Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for leading end to end cross functional delivery of capabilities, ensuring capabilities are implemented true to their intent and in a manner that optimizes the future flexibility of the Network, and driving regulatory compliance. The success of the role will depend upon the individual's ability to work with a globally distributed team, to understand and drive appropriate business architecture, and have a strong focus on detail.
How will you make an impact in this role?
- Ensure high quality business engagement, processes, features and user stories that drive efficient partnership with technology organizations throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Ensure individual releases across the program drive the successful value delivery on the key program milestones and this delivery is of high quality. Maintaining the delivery pace of the program, without capacity waste, will be a key success metric of the role.
- First point of scope review and responsible for evaluating and escalating new scope to the program board as required. Maintain clarity of the minimum viable program delivery and ensure the program has the capacity to deliver its core potential and capabilities. This requires proven influencing and collaboration skills. A critical component will be to work with enterprise wide partners to understand their needs and communicate the scope and prioritization decisions of the program.
- Manage relationships across multiple business stakeholders as well as technology and compliance partnerships to ensure consistent and accurate project communications and expectations. Engagement of internal and external partners to drive operational readiness for adoption of implemented platforms will be a key deliverable.
- Responsible for developing and modifying business & operational processes to take maximum advantage of technology changes, reduce manual effort and drive accuracy and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
- Project management and planning experience with extensive application of SAFE Agile discipline and preferred experience with Rally.
- Proven track record of change management and delivery in complex and highly matrixed organizations.
- High intellectual curiosity, with excellent creative and critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong comfort in dealing with ambiguity.
- Outstanding communicator with the ability to translate complicated business needs into technical requirements that can be delivered by technology teams and influence and drive decisions within cross-functional teams.
- Payments industry experience, preferably including understanding of Network and payment technology and processes for debit/credit processing and policy and operations.
- High energy, an optimistic attitude, and a good sense of humor
Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
