Sr. Product Manager

Q2 is seeking a Sr. Atlassian Product Manager who will join the Atlassian support team, work with external developers and the user community for Q2’s Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket). This individual is considered the technical subject matter expert for the platform, including integrations and ancillary systems. They will guide both the end user community and the technical team in ensuring that best practices are followed, that our Atlassian suite is used to its full capability, and that we pivot to changes based on the Atlassian roadmap. 

Performing complex tasks such as integration design/development and support, reporting, and developing workflows in support of new business requirements and serves as the designer for the best configuration and implementation of new functionality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evangelizes and educates the user population on the capabilities and best practices of our Atlassian suite

• Performs functions such as design, evaluation, testing, debugging, implementation and integration of applications and plug-ins

• Analyzes, installs, modifies, and supports the Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket) ecosystem

• Develops the Q2 strategic roadmap and synchronizes industry trends and the Atlassian roadmap

• Administratively manage the product backlog, troubleshoots configuration and reporting issues to identify root cause and drive remediation

• Maintains currency on Atlassian ecosystem releases and functionality as Q2 consumes the latest approved features to align the technical roadmap to the business needs

• Assists in managing the relationship with Atlassian and our external hosting/support partner

• Responsible Compliance to all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.

• Typically requires a minimum of 4 - 6 years of related experience.

• 5+ years of experience in technical application analysis

• 5+ years of experience supporting Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. Implementation experience is a plus.

• Atlassian certifications are a plus.

• Proficiency with Office productivity tools such as PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel and Outlook

• Ability to effectively work with business Superusers, IT business analysts and project managers to ensure consistency with strategic direction

• Understanding of change management principles associated with new technology implementations

• Understanding of project management principles

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills

• Self-starter with proven ability to deliver results
