Are you interested in owning the strategic software vision for a connected product within Moen’s Smart Water Network platform? Moen has a new opening for a Senior Product Manager, Connected Products, based at our Global headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio (remote with routine travel may be considered, but Cleveland based is preferred). This role will have software product ownership responsibility for a product within Moen’s connected Smart Water portfolio.

The Moen team is looking for a Senior Product Manager that will collaborate with the digital leaders to develop the Moen Smart Water software vision for products within the Moen’s connected portfolio. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for translating the vision into features and user stories and ensure the team knows with accurate detail what they are expected to build. The Senior Product Manager leads, defines, and prioritizes the efforts of the Agile team. Collaborates with the development team and Scrum Master to develop, design, build and launch the product. The Senior Product Manager’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the team knows with accurate detail what they are expected to build. The Senior Product Manager must develop a deep understanding of the target market, industry, and user. When necessary, works with internal stakeholders to ensure that needs of the end users are incorporated into the product design. Ensures that final product aligns with the Group Product Manager business vision for the Smart Water product experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Moen Smart Water mobile application and connected software product to overall success that is trackable and measurable.
  • Lead the definition of product direction and strategy for our software application.
  • Work with multiple teams to understand the requirements and constraints for building and evolving the software related to the connected product. Clearly communicate the requirements to the team.
  • Ensure software mobile application is continuously developed with customer-driven design, considering user pain points and usability test results, while using market and industry knowledge to deliver a well-positioned product
  • Drive sprint and release plans together with the Scrum Master and coordinate release planning with stakeholders.
  • Build backlog of software product features and enhancements, i.e. write user stories and acceptance criteria together with the agile team
  • Continuously improve and groom backlog ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated, and prioritized.
  • Partners with product marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer within the mobile application
  • Work with Solution Architect to build a modular and reusable solution for the software/mobile application
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Computer Science or Marketing related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Product Owner or in Product Management, should demonstrate a deep knowledge and passion for how customers work and think
  • Experience as a Product Manager overseeing consumer facing software and mobile application solutions
  • Experience in Agile Development, with specific Product Owner (or similar) experience preferred, should be confident in building and managing the backlog of work
  • Experience in the Smart Home/Connected Home Industry is preferred
  • Solid knowledge of industry trends pain points to be able to create a high value product vision and user demands
  • Ability to demonstrate practical examples of how they utilized technology to achieve an improved business result
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story
  • Challenger mindset and passion to challenge status quo to find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas – loves and embraces change
  • Able to build a sense of trust and rapport that creates a comfortable & effective workplace
  • Brings a high-energy and passionate outlook to the job and can influence those around them
