Job Title: Sr. Product Manager, Data Technology & Information (hybrid)

Location: US-GA-Atlanta (Sandy Springs)

FLSA: Exempt

Job Overview:

The Senior Product Manager identifies and communicates with Business Stakeholders to understand their goals and challenges and be able to define clear scope of work, recommend best possible process/system solutions, define proper test plan and scenarios, and produce Business and Functional requirement documentation that is approved by required stakeholders. The ideal candidates should have the ability to effectively communicate those approved requirements to development teams through user stories and technical specifications. This involves interaction with both internal and external project stakeholders.

This role should be comfortable with SLDC processes, tools and have the ability to understand, analyze and recommend solutions. Role requires a passion for continuous improvement in all processes (manual or system) and makes recommendations to improve efficiency as well as quantify the savings gained from those improvements.

Requires technical problem-solving skills that will be used to understand the root cause of issues and to develop reliable and scalable solutions. Must be able to work independently, have a proven ability to resolve complex business problems, and possess excellent communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design product features from conception and see them through to development
  • Responsible for planning and facilitating user design sessions
  • Incorporating feedback and input from customers, partners and in-house teams on product strategy and finding ways to expand product market reach
  • Work with senior management to create product plans and roadmaps
  • Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule
  • Make creative recommendations to expand product base and vision
  • Responsible for Documenting interaction (questions and responses) from a business Owner
  • Document decisions and the supporting reasons for the action made at each design meeting
  • Identify and communicate project and design risks to stakeholders and project team
  • Create Business and Functional Requirement documentation
  • Work dynamically with multiple stakeholders (internally and externally) to coordinate and gather requirements for application/product development
  • Serve as the liaison between IT and other functional departments
  • Effectively communicate business needs to development team
  • Create Project Plans, Roadmaps, and Milestones
  • Utilize Jira to create development tasks, user stories, and monitor Development progress and velocity
  • Perform system support/administration that includes user support. Troubleshoot issues as they arise and manage users in application/system
  • Analyzes existing/new processes and data models to make recommendations on potential process improvements
  • Build understanding of new technologies and manages implementations as these arise

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Management Information Systems (MIS), Analytics, Business Administration, or related fields required. 3-5 years minimum Product Analyst experience required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Proficient in MS Visio, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word required
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) required
  • Project Management and product lifecycle management experience
  • 3+ years Jira and Confluence experience
  • Ability to create business and system Process Flows
  • Create Gantt Charts for various implementation projects
  • Creative thinker to solve business problems in fluid and effective way
  • Excellent analytical, creative problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written (email), and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Self-starter, passion for learning and improving
  • Management/leadership experience and leading teams
  • Ability to work independently and accomplish tasks with little oversight
  • Ability to use analytical skills to dissect problems and develop viable solution that supports the business needs
  • Experience with digital product screens. Experience in UI/UX Design Sessions (preferred)
  • IIBA Certification a plus
  • Data modeling skills a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check
