Job Summary:
Supermicro is seeking a Senior Product Manager who can lead the development and sustaining of OEM system projects for cloud and data center infrastructure. This is a key product management role focused on major accounts where communication among customers and product leadership of our development teams is critical to develop and enable operations to fulfill customer satisfactions. In addition to developing new OEM systems, product manager is expected to collaborate with Production and Operation departments to manufacture highest quality server products on schedule with NRE budget. As a product manager, you will be the drive force and the coordinator in the internal project team and will become a core member of the business accomplishments on both Supermicro and OEM customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):• Lead the project-based multi-functional team for OEM Projects• Support Sales/FAE Team in technical fields of Server / OEM System business practices. Support to define customer requirements, develop and drive customized server products• Engaged with Management teams of both Supermicro and OEM customers for product strategy and business operations• Leverage existing resources and coordinate Engineering resources for customization on OEM products and meeting customer's development schedule and budget• New Product Introduction (NPI) management to production• Coordinate and drive solutions for any technical/quality/material supply-chain issues of the project.• Lead cross-function teams for sustaining supports like RMA, Failure Analysis, ECO implementations,etc.• Engage with Material planning and coordinate with sales/customer to solve shipment fulfillment and forecast issues
Qualifications:• Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with minimum of 8 years hands-on experience in hardware system/server architecture is desirable• Demonstrated ability in computer hardware product management role, must have managed a number of products from initial concept through development, manufacture, and B-to-B customer engagement• Strong technical knowledge with computer architecture, and marketing knowledge of Server /Data Center and their applications• Experienced in configuring server systems or OEM business for computer/internet/telecommunication appliances• Familiar with computer hardware supply chain, experienced in OEM/ODM business model will be a plus• Exceptional communication skill is a must, able to communicate effectively with customers to for technical and quality issues during development and production, and also able to communicate effectively with internal teams to meet customer expectations for best business results
Salary Range
$135,000 - $173,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
