Why Product at Vacasa
Vacasa is looking for an experienced Sr. PM to lead our Pricing and Data Product strategy and implementation.Â
In this role, you will work closely with a talented team of data scientists and business leaders to build a best-in-class predictive pricing system. Additionally, you will lead efforts to identify the most impactful opportunities to integrate data-based product into new areas of Vacasa’s business.

What you'll do
- Lead the design and development of Vacasa’s next generation of pricing tools and other core tools that utilize predictive modeling to drive business goals.Â
- Collaborate closely with Data Science and Data Engineering to define the capabilities of our data and determine how to most effectively integrate data to meet the needs of the overall business
- Develop understanding of customer needs, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, coordinating resources across teams, and assessing potential risks associated with turning data into products
- Ownership of the product roadmap, including communicating priorities to key stakeholders
- Facilitate the delivery of business value through direct support of development teams following Scrum methodology, including building and prioritizing team backlogs, coordinating bi-weekly sprints and leading and participating in standard scrum ceremonies (standup, retrospective, etc.)
- Spec writing, author user stories, product acceptance criteria and other day to day tasks that keep sprints and teams on track
- Ideate, test, measure, and iterate to drive feature and platform enhancements
Skills you’ll need
- 2 years experience leading the design and development of products that operationalize strategic data or predictive modeling outputs to accomplish key business goals
- Experience working closely with Data Scientists or Data Engineers and thorough knowledge of data science and analytics tools
- Aptitude for data-driven decision making and must be a highly-organized, analytical thinker with strong communication skills.Â
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate with and effectively influence remote teams in multiple time zones
- Entrepreneurial spirit, with a track record of delivering results in fast-moving and demanding environmentsStrong customer-driven design process and collaborative stakeholder management
- Demonstrated ability to own business impact metrics and work cross-functionally to improve OKRs
- Bachelor’s degrees in Marketing, Business, Computer Science or equivalent
- The standard set of PM skills: understanding markets, competition, and user problems to articulate why and how we should build
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels and disciplines, from Marketing, PR, BI, data management, engineering, security, legal, C-levels, et al.
- Experience using backlog management tools such as Jira or equivalent
Working conditions
This is an in-market role and candidates must be based locally or be willing to relocate to Portland, OR to be considered.
You’ll be working in your home office setting. We hold virtual training sessions and weekly team meeting. Occasional offsite team meetings in your region or our HQ locations. Requires frequent, repetitive use of a computer, phone, and office equipment. Requires patient, professional communication with prospective clients, and the ability to build confidence with prospects.
Compensation
- $125000 - $140000 / year
