Platform Science is hiring a seasoned Product Manager focused on driving strategy and roadmap for our Human Machine Interfaces that we deploy to Drivers and Fleets in factory installed Infotainment systems. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product, Virtual Vehicle Platform, and working with a team of passionate colleagues, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company. We are founded on the mission of making transportation smart.
In this role, you will face product challenges as you seek to find the optimal balance between the short-term product roadmap and the long-term vision of our industry-leading Virtual Vehicle platform. You are always asking questions to learn more about the โWhyโ and โHowโ of the world through constant interactions with our customers and partners. Essential Responsibilities
- Help define a business, technology, and user experience vision for how Platform Science deploys Virtual Vehicle on OEM Infotainment devices, and work with your team (and others) to distill this into incremental deliverables.
- Work closely with our internal Platform Teams and OEM partners to define short term and long term roadmaps that let Platform Science deploy Virtual Vehicle at scale to fleets of all sizes.
- Travel onsite to Partners to help drive customer discovery, GTM, Roadmap, and other critical activities surrounding your product area. This includes both domestic and international travel.
- Partner on GTM and Pre-Sales activities serving as the product expert, assisting Platform Science teams with launch and product positioning activities.ย
- Manage the entire product life cycle by documenting Customer Journeys, defining User Stories with detailed Acceptance Criteria, and meeting your Scrum Teamโs definition of ready; participate in daily standup and sprint reviews of engineering and product design efforts.
Experience
- Required experience
- 8+ years of Product Management experience relating to one or more of: Automotive technology, In Dash / Infotainment Systems, or Kiosk-based digital experiences.
- A track record for building products that require a heavy emphasis on user experience.ย
- Strong business acumen that lets you represent Platform Science in front of external leadership and media.
- Traits of a successful candidate
- Ability to operate autonomously. You are driven with a bias towards action.ย
- A past history of advocacy for end users, the business, buyers, and partners; ability to find the optimal balance to deliver successful products to market.
- Exceptional communication skills that allow you to bridge the gap of a team spread across the country, and Partners across the world.
- Exhibits a positive, can-do attitude and is willing to work in a hyper-growth environment. In other words, roll up your sleeves and thrive in a fast-paced start-up.
- Preferred but not required:
- MBA or Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics, Electrical or Industrial System Engineering, Computer Science, and / or equivalent project / product / program management experience.
- Working knowledge of Android Automotive, AOSP, Infotainment, Automated Driver Assist Systems (ADAS), core vehicles systems (powertrain, chassis, body), vehicle communication architecture, and / or embedded software development.
- Travel Requirement: 20% initially, reducing over time

Our job titles for each posting may span across more than one job level. The estimated base salary for this role is between $124,300 and $209,442. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salaries across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant trainings and certifications, business needs, market demands and specific geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
