The Excelitas Systems Engineering team is seeking a Senior Program Manager to assist the engineering team with planning and logistical execution of engineering NPI activities. The Excelitas Systems Engineering division designs and builds power conversion products and flash lighting products which meet custom specifications in the medical, semiconductor, industrial, security inspection and research equipment markets. Our engineering projects range in scope from concept-through-production of new system designs to minor modifications of existing products. This position will report directly to the HVP Engineering Manager.

The Excelitas HIDL Systems division designs and builds power conversion products and flash lighting products for custom requirements in the medical, semiconductor, industrial, security inspection and research equipment markets. Our engineering projects range in scope from concept-through-production of new systems to minor modifications of existing products. We are presently seeking a Senior Program Manager for our Salem, MA site.

Main responsibilities:

• Participate in customer quotation and project proposal activities;
• Work with finance, sales and engineering teams to forecast realistic project schedules and costs
• Initiate NPI programs following formal QMS procedures and provide preliminary costing estimates for finance tracking;
• Track project progress and costs, modify project effort or schedule as needed;
• Communicate project status to stakeholders;
• Assist sales and engineering in managing customer expectations;
• Assist engineering team with materials logistics for NPI programs;
• Coordinate cross functional production transition efforts for NPI programs;
• Assist engineering management in ensuring that project efforts follow internal QMS processes and meet customer quality and performance requirements;

• Adherence to corporate policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in program management of large scale projects involving multiple engineering disciplines and cross functional involvement with finance, sales, operations and quality groups;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar project planning tool;
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at the same time;
• Excellent planning and organization skills;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Able to quickly gain the confidence and cooperations of others.
