About the Role
Interested in joining one of San Diego's top tech companies to help revolutionize the transportation industry? If so, Platform Science is looking for a Sr. Program Manager to join our growing Program Management team. Reporting to the Manager of the PMO, where the focus is on facilitating the successful delivery of customer transitions, you will be responsible for communicating, coordinating, and reducing complexity. In collaborating with customers you will be providing direction to cross-functional teams which directly impact the customer experience. The role best suits a candidate who is highly organized, self-starter, innovative, customer-centric and comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization.
Your role as a Sr. Program Manager will be to support our customers throughout the lifecycle of their transition to Platform Science by planning, developing and implementing strategic project plans and maintaining healthy business relationships with our customers. You will support multiple departments as a cross-functional team member with a specific focus on execution and delivery. Working with a team of passionate colleagues in a fast paced environment, you will be involved in shaping the future of our company.
** Travel required on an as-needed basis up to 30% **
Essential Responsibilities
- Partner cross-functionally with all departments; facilitate collaboration, teamwork, and communication to provide an excellent customer experience
- Formulate, organize, and monitor inter-connected activities to deliver against the project requirements, deadlines, and schedules
- Provide recommendations and solutions with attention to a customer’s wishes, capabilities and limitations forming concise reports while understanding the impact to cross functional teams
- Establish effective project plans, ensure their execution and manage all program activities to ensure compliance with contract requirements
- Manage dependencies, get ahead of risks, and surface information that will allow the teams to make sound strategic decisions and tradeoffs
- Maintain effective day to day communications with the customer to remain aligned on project initiatives and milestones
- Implement status reports creating transparency to leadership
- Clearly communicate project status, problems and roadblocks, while offering solutions to resolve issues to management
- Plan, coordinate and manage the preparation of presentation materials for internal and customer meetings and reviews. Manage the conduct of such meetings and reviews.
- Apply change, risk, and resource management to ensure all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget
- Provide peer mentorshipÂ
- Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
- Promote a trusting and safe environment that allows team members to engage in healthy debate and collaborative problem solving
- Exhibit a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to work in a hyper-growth environment; in other words, you can roll up your sleeves and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Experience
- 8+ years proven experience in a program management roles managing various types of projects/programsÂ
- Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques, methods and software
- Experience with Asana is a plus
- Outstanding leadership skills and organizational skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrates problem solving solutions with an empathetic approach when collaborating with customersÂ
- Excellent ability to manage multiple programs/projects simultaneously
- A confidant facilitator, amazing communicator, and skilled listener with a strong understanding of team dynamics
- Demonstrates ability to collaborate, influence, and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including C-level executives and business leaders
- BSc/BA diploma in management or a relevant field is a plus
- PMP certification is a plus

This is an exempt role. Our job titles for each posting may span across more than one job level. The estimated base salary for this role is between $125,000 and $167,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salaries across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant trainings and certifications, business needs, market demands and specific geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
