A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.

We are currently seeking our newest innovator to join our dynamic team as a Sr. Program Manager.

Position Overview:

This job requires technical experiences related to building cutting-edge product and program management experiences. This position needs to have comfortable working with the manufacturing industry as well as high technology-driven products with LG and customers. This role is focused on managing a program and deeply involving technical requirements in the development as well as product launching. Customer communication and business negotiation to ensure strength and stability in the LG automotive business. This role is directly influencing the integration project across all LG and automotive manufactures and requires a confidant with identifying problems, communicating the concerns and driving for closure in order to deliver projects within the time frame with build trust while demonstrating excellent communication and time management skills. This role must play nice with others, have a humble service mindset, and be a results-driven self-motivator.

Responsibilities:

  • Support/lead to resolve both business, manufacturing, and technical issues
  • Support/lead to identify and manage all program risks, publish a weekly report
  • Support/lead cross-functional teams Validation, Manufacturing, procurement/Purchasing, Sales and Quality, customers
  • Identify and manage all program risks during and after development
  • Manage OEM customer relationship, develop and manage 3rd party relationship
  • Support/lead HW/SW technical matters/issues
  • Resolving 3rd party related issues and manage Engineering Changes & 4M
  • Communicate with LGE HQ cross-functional teams not limited to program
  • Develop and manage program milestone (if necessary, multiple programs)
  • Support/lead Software & Hardware releases, sample management and lead the customer meetings
  • Product planning and publish the product roadmap as well as managing multiple program milestone
  • Prepare and release weekly report and coordinate executive level meetings
  • Coach and mentor PM's, one-stop-shop for OEM customers and internal stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4 years of work experience in a related field)
  • 8 years of experience in engineering and/or program management, leading programs with multiple dependencies and constraints
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to respond to requests accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Travel up to 30%

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Knowledge or the ability of:
    • Managing multiple technical projects simultaneously and delivering to agreed-upon cost, quality, and timing expectations
    • Telematics modules and wireless technology products
    • Automotive materials or service new technologies to industry players
    • Managing technical teams building embedded system
    • The product life cycle from ideation to design to prototype to production
    • Software development process (feasibility, design, implementation, integration, test, and support), preferably experience with complex systems
    • Work across multiple disciplines (systems, embedded, server, wireless carriers, testing)
    • Plan and coordinate teams of people
    • Recognize and mitigate both technical and organizational challenges
    • Lead and manage engagements with customers (mostly internal), collaborators, and 3rd party software developers
    • Proven track record of working in and/or with distributed engineering teams, sales team, quality team, and customers
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with transparency being paramount
  • Desire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies
  • Passion for technology and problem solving
  • Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Prior Automotive experience
  • PMP certification and 6 sigma certification
  • Bilingual(English and Korean)
