Sr. Program Manager-Strategic Initiatives- Product Management
As part of the Product Management and Marketing Organization Team, this role will drive and support strategic initiatives and programs that span across the team from initiation through successful execution.
Reporting to the SVP and Chief Product Officer in this "chief of staff" type role, the Senior Program Manager will have individual programs and management processes under his/her leadership and will work with other members of the team to ensure successful coordination and execution.
The role crosses both strategy and execution, requiring a combination of solid business and business process acumen and knowledge, focus, flexibility, delivery and cross functional program management; the role requires a willingness to play both an active and behind-the-scenes business and management role.
While the role will be program and process in nature, it will also include some administrative responsibilities in support of the CPO and team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages the planning and execution of one or more strategic initiatives to meet business objectives
- Oversees cross-functional projects and initiatives. Communicates with key stakeholders in decision-making, program management, process improvement and initiative implementation
- Collaborates and ensures the participation of other leaders and team members, with an independent ability to define programs, drive agendas and ensure progress through delivery
- Develops and recommends solutions to stakeholders for their execution
- Identifies, tracks, escalates and helps resolve program/project issues in a timely fashion.
- Develops strong understanding of the business, business planning processes, product management and marketing to inform and drive programs
- Builds and delivers effective presentations and written communications for own and Chief Product Officer projects, including adjusting for communication to varying audiences
- Responds effectively to shifting of priorities to meet management demands and expectations
- Plans and leads structured meetings and workshops, including effective preparation and follow-up
- Executes CPO calendaring and other administrative responsibilities at it relates to strong function of the team
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- The role requires a highly resourceful individual with strong business acumen, emotional intelligence, self-motivation and analytical skills.
- Exceptional ability to deal with ambiguous situations and communication and to listen actively and communicate (verbal and written) effectively in a diverse environment.
- Highly motivated with leadership abilities; capable of developing requirements and keeping teams and projects on track and scope.
- Proven ability to evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations.
- Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders across an organization, often independently with minimal supervision.
- Strategic thinking - leverages knowledge of the company and product strategy and product roadmap to guide decision-making.
- Ability to see and understand the big picture while also being able and willing to dig in to help execute at the detailed levels
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years management or program management experience
- 3 year of demonstrated leadership of cross-functional initiatives
- 2 years experience with organizational change and in changing environments
- Demonstrated and highly proficient with power point, excel and like business programs. A representative work sample will be required
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- MBA or equivalent Master's degree
- Management consulting experience
- Demonstrated business and business process acumen
- Experience in a health care services (technology, services) environment.
Work Conditions:
- This position is 100% remote enabled from any US location
- This position requires up to 30% US based domestic travel
