If you are looking to advance your career in a new planning and scheduling leadership role, this is the opportunity for you! As a Program Planning and Scheduling Manager, you will lead the team in the development of procedures, standards, and training for the integrated master plan (IMP) and integrated master schedule (IMS) leveraging industry principles and standards across the entire program life cycle. You'll be responsible for tracking plans and schedules, identifying and resolving critical path and network logic conflicts utilizing Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management, and other project management techniques. You will evaluate the level of schedule compliance and identify reasons for completion shortfalls. You'll provide key analytics on processes to improve performance. Focused responsibilities include overseeing Schedule Risk Assessments, toolset development to comply with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS), business resource planning/tracking, and development of Program Planning & Scheduling employees.
Sierra Space-based in Louisville, CO with operations in Madison, WI, Durham, NC, Huntsville, AL, Houston, TX, and Kennedy Space Center, FL-designs and manufactures the Dream Chaser spaceplane and other advanced spacecraft, commercial space destinations, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers, and international organization. Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field of study
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Proven leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Project Professional and familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) Tools
  • Proven experience in the development and maintenance of resource loaded integrated master schedules to include detailed schedule analysis, health assessments, schedule risk assessments, and critical/driving path analysis

Preferred:
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance is required
  • 15 years or more of combined work experience in managing scheduling staff and hands on scheduling support.
  • Experience with new program award and developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) from concept to baseline to program execution
  • Experience leading schedule baseline and cost integration activities resulting in an on time Integrated Baseline Review (IBR)
  • Strong background and proven competency in Program Controls fundamentals inclusive of program risk management
  • Ability to cultivate and foster an active network across regulatory groups, sponsors/customers, senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Experience with DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures
  • Knowledge of DCMA 14-piont, IPMR DI_MGMT-81861, and Mil Standard 881, IPMDAR
  • Experience with full Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) cost/schedule integration
  • Understanding and application of Critical Path Analysis and Schedule Risk Analysis & Schedule Performance and Heath Metric Analysis
  • Knowledge of engineering design and life cycle concepts
  • Understanding of Event versus Product based schedules,
  • Understanding of Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development
  • Understanding of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development
  • Experience in rolling wave planning
  • Experience in facilitation of resource allocation and leveling; validation of remaining work; identification and resolution of critical path conflicts; analysis of impacts to schedule of any proposed changes
  • Experience in coaching/mentoring/teaching
  • Ability to work across multiple software systems and comprehend system relationships
  • Ability to develop and conduct relevant stakeholder learning sessions.
  • Foundational understanding of Program Management processes
  • Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures
  • Support the development and delivery of key employee training to include new employee onboarding, continuous education curriculum, and certification testing
  • PMP, EVP, and/or PMI-SP Desirable

The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.   • Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $138,634.92 - $190,623.01. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
