Would you enjoy being involved with a wide variety of program tasks encountered during the development of an expanding DoD Campus that's envisioned as a high-quality, cohesive family of technologically sophisticated buildings-in a progressive and sustainable environment? Parsons is now hiring a Senior Project Architect for this rapidly expanding portfolio of planning, design and construction projects. In this position, you will serve as an on-site resource providing architectural expertise on complex facilities issues. You will leverage your knowledge of building design and technology in all phases of facilities development to translate design vision into architectural reality.
Parsons' extensive experience in this field combined with your architectural and planning knowledge will propel your career forward. We need our Project Architect at this level to apply diverse and intensive proficiency in the use of technical theories and practices, including the incorporation of Government policies and standards. In this role you will provide design expertise to a dedicated team of professionals on large mission operations type projects, and on several smaller facilities projects or studies as well-as part of a multi-building campus recapitalization. Our Architects are responsible for the technical excellence of the tasks and analyses performed, for the regulatory compliance of these projects including meeting the owners Facility Criteria, and for the on-schedule completion of the projects in accordance with contractual obligations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in project requirements definition, and reviews plans and documents developed by consultants for the utilization of land and the construction of facilities.
- Serves as an office-wide resource and leader in the architectural field of practice.
- Provides architectural and technical knowledge as part of a team of Government professionals and technicians working together on an on-site everyday basis supporting an "owner's agent" construction requirements organization.
- Ensures all facility designs are in architectural compliance with the approved Master Plan and the associated Installation Design Guidelines for the campus.
- Confirms all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations are followed, that current techniques are utilized, innovation is recognized, and quality is at a high level.
- Conducts and documents site visits. Reviews submittals, substitution requests, and RFI's during the design and construction phases.
- Responsible for the technical excellence of the tasks and analyses performed, regulatory code compliance, and for on-schedule completion within budget in accordance with contractual obligations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
- Licensed/Registered Professional Architect required
- LEED AP preferred
- 15+ years of applicable Architectural experience working with medium to large projects.
- Strong design and technical competence and proven experience in schematic design through construction document phases.
- Expert knowledge of code compliance, and construction practices and methodologies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including organizational skills supporting client relationships and activities.
- Understanding of local statutes and environmental rules and regulations preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices.
- Active TS SCI w/Polygraph required.

Salary Range:
$136,200.00 - $245,200.00
