Job Description

Jack Morton Detroit is seeking a passionate and energetic Sr. Project Associate to support our luxury automotive account on various Sales & Service Dealer & Internal Programs, marketing presentations and meetings. This person will independently manage small programs or parts of larger programs ensuring that client needs are met and exceeded.

Accountabilities:  

Client Management

  • Assume accountability for defined client deliverables, ensuring client needs are met and exceeded.
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that all client needs are heard, understood and addressed in a timely way.
  • Provide clear communications to the client regarding roles and responsibilities, scope, budget, and schedules for assigned programs.
  • Update status reports and schedules and maintain lists of action items, ensuring all deadlines are met. 

 Project Delivery

  • Assist in identifying new opportunities, evaluating opportunities, negotiating the best deal for our client, and ensuring that a results summary is complete.
  • Provide seamless meeting support and onsite execution as needed.
  • Ensure project/program is delivered on-time, on-budget and flawlessly.
  • Schedule regular team meetings and manage communications between team members, ensuring all deadlines are met.

Budget Management

  • Assist in managing project budget.
  • Oversee coordination with all internal parties on invoices and vendor payments.
  • Assist in reconciling costs against budget. 

Creative Management

  • Ensure that the highest possible quality is delivered.
  • Ensure that the client need is solved by the project deliverables. 
  • Participate in creative brainstorms to generate ideas for clients.

  • Owns delivery of assigned client deliverables.

What we require:

  • 2-3 years marketing / meeting / event experience required.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
  • Strong project management, organizational and communication skills
  • Experience in planning meetings / events, negotiating and creating presentations strongly preferred, especially in the auto industry.
  • Willing & able to travel up to 10-20%
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Office 365
