Sr. Project Engineering Manager

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Sr. Project Engineering Manager for our Rochester, New York office. Be involved in projects with our NY Energy Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

• Responsible for all aspects of the successful completion of assigned projects including:

• Managing inter-disciplinary design teams
• Quality Management (deliverable reviews)
• Technical Resource Recruiting and Development
• Estimate and Schedule Development and Review
• Develop Business Opportunities and growth at Client(s)
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering/Construction Management
• An Associates degree and 5 years of progressive experience managing aspects of projects/programs within asset intensive industries may be considered in lieu of degree OR 10 years of progressive experience managing aspects of projects/programs within asset intensive industries may be considered in lieu of degree
• 10 years or more experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Design Management, Project Controls, or Engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
• This position is subject to and contingent upon client approval of candidates put forth for consideration by WSP.
• The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States, or be able to obtain work authorized status in the United States prior to the start of employment. This role is eligible for employment visa sponsorship for eligible and qualified candidates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience Managing Key aspects of Capitol Project Programs
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Professional Engineering (PE) NY State
• Experience in Energy projects, solar, generation, transmission, storage, etc.
• Previous Supervisory Experience
