Marqeta’s Delivery Post Launch team enables additional program and product functionality for our existing customers. We are looking to add a senior member of the team with strong communication skills who will ramp up quickly, apply critical thinking skills to problems, identify thematic issues and opportunities, and lead initiatives benefiting our customers. This person will own the project management of complex projects and initiatives on the team and be able to trailblaze new paths and processes that will scale. The role is both internal and external facing with direct customer engagement. You will be working with payment networks, banks, vendors, and multiple cross-functional teams to ensure our customers’ needs are successfully enabled. Â
You will work with some of the world’s most innovative companies as they partner with Marqeta to bring their payments business ideas to life. You will build relationships with our customers, understanding their needs and how it supports their global business. You will also develop deep relationships within Marqeta to ensure we are doing all we can to get our customers what they need quickly, predictably, and reliably. You will manage multiple types of projects including change requests, product add-ons and tokenization. You will also support other team members in project delivery, operational support and optimizing existing processes.

What You'll DoThis role is about working with our customers and multiple cross-functional teams, to ensure our customer’s card programs are supported, enriched and expanded. Here are some key expectations:Â

- Know the Tech and Non-Tech: You understand have a strong background in API applications and are comfortable working in a technical environment, where you are the bridge between technical teams and technical/non-technical teams.You will come up to speed on Marqeta's capabilities, non-technical processes, the unique features and customer benefits our platform offers, and are able to speak with confidence, knowledge, and credibility about many topics.
- Project Management: You will use your project management skills to enable customers for new products as well as our current offerings and keep track of all the moving parts to ensure we deliver what we promise when we promise it.Â
- Transparency and Communication: You are focused on communication of projects whether it's progress or roadblocks, so all teams are tightly connected and know what’s already happened and what’s happening next. You will be generous with your time and energy, to your customers and your team.
In addition to proven ability to manage cross-functional projects, we’re on the hunt for the following attributes:Â
- 3-5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role responsible for technical discussions in a sales engineering, implementation, or technical account management capacity
- Experience working with APIs (you don’t need to be a developer but you must be comfortable discussing the ins and outs of our API)
- Experience with SQL, Postman, and Datadog are a plus.Â
- Superior ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly (verbally & in writing), tailoring recommendations based on customer needs and evolving offerings
- Resourceful problem solver who proactively suggests improvements and challenges the status quo
- Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously; highly motivated and able to work against aggressive schedules
- Experience in the B2B technology space, with a knack for understanding what makes businesses tick and what drives their growth
- Strong understanding of fintech (e.g. issuing, networks, point-of-sale), bonus points for knowing payments, especially the issuing side
- Experience managing partners and adhering to SLAs
- Able to build working relationships across multiple teamsÂ
- Highly self-motivated and feels at home working aggressive schedulesÂ
- Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, resourceful, and self-starter who is able to work independentlyÂ
- A person of strong character and integrity, who contributes to Marqeta’s unique culture
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
