Sr. Project Manager
Job Description
Why this role matters: The Project Manager will report directly to the Head of GNP PMO. This position is key to driving our overall efforts across projects and workstreams to continue to evolve a high-performing PMO that consistently demonstrates organizational value. This is a critical strategic Global Network Platform/Growth area combining both Ericsson and Vonage teams. The Project manager will assist the Head of PMO to deliver an integrated, centralized model across the four workstreams (pods).
What you will do:
- Leads and oversees project initiation, risk assessment, team startup, execution and post-project lessons learned
- Initiates and leads process improvement, facilitating and encouraging improvement based on lessons learned and top project management techniques
- Leads and manages large, complex enterprise-level projects consisting of multiple teams and/or requiring integration with other activities outside the normal project scope
- Drives change and continually improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the Program/Project Management function
- Provides function-wide process advice and insightÂ
- Manages cross-functional project teams composed of business and technical team members
- Reports weekly status, mitigates risks and issues
- Detail-oriented, possess superior verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrates a proven record of meeting deadlines
- May need to maintain a flexible schedule and work across different time zones
- Set and manage the cadence for monitoring performance against goals, ensuring all stakeholders understand and plan for what needs to be delivered
What is required:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience
- Prior experience (10+years) in a technical project management.
