Sr. Project Manager - Bilingual

The Role:

The ideal candidate will build relationships with key stakeholders and internal departments to drive project success in a fast-paced working environment utilizing effective project management tools and continuous improvement efforts through lessons learned. The Senior Project Manager will help the Operation and Engineering Team to manage project definition and schedules, task completion status, reporting, coordination with different stakeholders (NPI, Internal manufacturing, Supply Chain, Internal Engineering, Supplier Manufacturing/Engineering, etc.) to define best practices, build processes and communication mechanisms. Working under minimal supervision, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for the oversight, planning, organizing, and monitoring of one or more highly complex projects to meet defined requirements.

What you’ll do: 

• Engage with business stakeholders, by partnering with the operation and engineering leads and strategic Subject Matter Experts, to understand their strategic objectives, initiatives, pain points and needs.
• Develop, maintain, and evolve a related operational project roadmap that best suits business priorities while enabling the go forward architecture. This includes the gathering of business requirements, development of process flows, high level solution design, training and change management.
• Lead implementation programs, ensuring quality delivery and expected outcomes by establishing meaningful metrics to measure and communicate project progress. 
• Monitor programs and projects outcome and retrofit into road-mapping and stakeholders’ priorities.
• Implement cross-functional project plans that identify resources and budgetary requirements, and ensure on-time delivery of projects
• Managing individuals and teams to impact the business by training, leading, mentoring, coaching, and motivating them
• Navigate multifactorial problems that arise, requiring detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand, communicate, and recommend solutions to challenges 
• Influence across functions and businesses while balancing divergent objectives to gain cooperation of other parties on program strategies, objectives, and execution plans. 
• Create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation, and learning.
• Communicate and lead meeting with project team and stakeholders 
• Manage dependencies between multiple projects.

What you will need to be successful: 

• Bilingual - English/Chinese (Business proficient)
• 7+ years working experience in medical device or highly regulated industry, knowledge of FDA Quality regulations related to medical device development and quality and regulatory standards. 

• Proficient at simplifying and communicating complex business challenges to stakeholders with varying backgrounds and levels of understanding, including briefings to management team
• Leadership qualities, such as motivation and conflict management, through influence in matrixed organization and ability to work well in a team environment including cross-functional 
• Comfortable interacting one-to-one with individual technical contributors, senior leaders, as well as coaching teams.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully leading projects to completion under tight time constraints. 
• Strong tactical decision-maker, handling unforeseen and unexplored issues
• Working collaboratively with others within a team to accomplish goals 
• An excellent balance between detailed tactical thinking and high-level strategic thinking. 
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, and project management tools. 
• Demonstrates active listening skills and ability to resolve discrepancies
• Ability to quickly adapt to new requirements and changing situations
• Results oriented and able to drive accountability in others 
• Experience as a creative problem solver 
• Management of multiple priorities 
• Dealing with ambiguity with ease

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent work experience
• Experience with Microsoft Project a must 
• PMP or equivalent Certification a plus
• Bilingual English / Chinese Required
