Sr. Project Manager, Used Sales
Job Description
The Role
Tesla is looking for a Senior Project Manager, Used Sales, to work with one of the most innovative brands in the world. The ideal candidate will be an experienced project management professional with full understanding of Sales Operations, demonstrating an ability to tackle complex problems and implement creative solutions.
As a Senior Project Manager on the Used Car team, you will advance performance, programs, and strategic initiatives across North America, including sales and delivery operations, and managing external partnerships.
This role requires the ability to build strong cross functional relationships with our New Vehicle Sales, Delivery, Service, and IT Applications organizations. Excellent communication and presentation skills are crucial. Tesla is a fast moving, dynamic environment were flexibility and adaptability are key.
Responsibilities
- Research problem statements/processes, identify constraints and root causes, partner with business stakeholders to scope improvements, drive solutions to completion, and verify desired impact was made
- Support managers in building business cases for initiatives they are driving for the business
- Routinely update project tickets, break projects down into deliverables, and complete projects by deadline
- Manage multiple high-profile programs to support efficient and effective operations as well as overarching company objectives while continuously reviewing efficiency metrics to identify and scope optimization opportunities, and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented projects
- Implement systems, processes, configurations, and change projects in accordance with plans. Participate in project definition, scoping, and option analysis activities
- Effectively and succinctly communicate program progress and status in diverse forums and serve as a coach and mentor for teammates, with focus on developing technical and business skills through clear establishment of plans, goals, and deliverables
- Build strong relationship with Operations, Sales, Customer Support, and Delivery teams
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in a company or business unit of comparable complexity and scope including sales, operations, logistics, finance, and evidence of exceptional ability
- Demonstrated communication, leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to write, speak and present effectively at all levels
- Robust analytical skill set, including proficiency in Excel modeling (experience in R and SQL a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple high priority demands simultaneously and achieve success in situations with high degrees of variation and complexity
- Self-starter with strong desire to execute on existing objectives, and identify new ways to push Tesla forward
- 4-year degree in business, supply chain, or equivalent professional experience
- Exceptional project and system management skills, management consulting experience desired with passion and high energy, possessing the diplomacy and cooperative style to positively influence outcomes

- Expected Compensation
$68,000 - $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
