Sr. QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)

Responsibilities:

• A Software QA Engineer is essential for ensuring the quality and functionality of software products. Key responsibilities include:
• Designing and Implementing Tests: Create and execute test plans and test cases to validate software functionality and performance
• Debugging and Defining Corrective Actions: Identify defects and work with development teams to resolve issues, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented.
• Reviewing Requirements: Assess system requirements and technical design documents to provide timely feedback and ensure clarity.
• Tracking Quality Metrics: Monitor and report on quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure that quality standards are met throughout the development process.

Skills:
Technical Skills

• Testing Methodologies: Proficient in various testing types, including functional testing, performance testing, load testing, regression testing, security testing, and API testing
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with web technologies and software development processes, as well as experience with programming languages for test automation.
• Automation Tools: Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to identify issues and assess software quality effectively.

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to catch subtle bugs and ensure comprehensive testing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Engineering/Computer Science / MCA or equivalent
• Total testing experience of 6 - 8 years, having worked primarily on web-based or mobile applications.
• Experience in Web based application testing.
• Experience with testcase management tools like Test Rail or Jira is a plus
• Exposure to API testing tools like SoapUI or Postman is a plus
• Experience of writing SQL queries and functions is a plus.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is a plus
