Summary:
A role for a journeyman software tester with deep experience in modern manual and automated testing techniques. Delivers a great deal of working software to Production and is increasingly able to contribute to cross-team quality initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Independently perform work on multiple concurrent engineering efforts
- Build and maintain expert product and customer knowledge:
- Build expert product knowledge
- Build an understanding of customer product usage
- Design and execute tests:
- Create strategies for feature-level testing
- Participate in creating strategies for application-level testing
- Participate in designing suites of tests
- Review other Quality Engineersâ test strategies and test suite designs
- Lead feature testing
- Design and execute tests, and report bugs
- Automate tests:
- Design automated tests
- Participate in developing automated test strategies
- Review other Quality Engineersâ code
- Create, execute, and manage results of automated tests
- Create and execute performance tests, and analyze the results
- Improve testing processes and techniques
- Troubleshoot defects and verify their repairs
- Read, understand and supply application logs and telemetry to support bug reports or debugging efforts
- Estimate effort at the feature level
- Deploy to and maintain test environments
- Make process improvement recommendations to improve testing efficiency
- Participate in resolving after-hours Production incidents
- Demonstrate your project work and product contributions
- Instill Quality initiatives throughout all of the Engineering department
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of test automation and software testing experience
- Automate-first mindset
- Deep troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with test-automation tools such as Cypress, Postman, K6
- Experience in a continuous-integration/continuous-delivery environment
- Ability to work well with others and collaborate across teams
- Very strong communication skills - writing, speaking, and listening
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Experience with a technology stack and architecture similar to Greenlight Guruâs
- Proficient coding in one or more modern languages

This role can be located within the United States or Canada. The base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $125,000, though actual base salary is determined by factors such as, but not limited to, experience, education, skills, and geographic location. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation and equity.
