Sr. Reporting Analyst

The Business Risk Policy Officer will be expected to take ownership of projects mainly dealing with the automation of risk reporting across a number of domains. These projects will range from the automation of 100+ indicators from disparate datasets to developing advanced processes which automate manual time consuming work using tools such as emailing out reporting or data validation. This candidate is also required to present advanced analytics case results to senior management on an as-needed basis, and act as an advocate of Big Data Analytics for OTBRC to internal stakeholders across multiple businesses, functions and products. The candidate will work very closely with the technology teams that are building out the Global O&T Risk and Control Dashboard as well as the team acquiring data for our big data platform.

Responsibilities:

• Lead automation of risk reporting in big data environment utilizing Hive (HQL)
• Manage relationships with data providers to automate metric calculations
• Establish validation processes for data being on boarded to identify possible anomalies
• Work with large data sets from disparate sources to understand linkages and to develop use cases.
• Create presentations that will clearly state objectives, approaches and benefits of case studies and the ability to articulate results to stakeholders and senior management.
• Ability to work well in a team environment given competing priorities and to think outside of the box to come up with innovative solutions.
• Demonstrates strong judgment, political astuteness, and sensitivity to cultural diversity.
• Develop and plan analytic projects in response to business needs.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Big Data analytics, to partner and strategize with OTBRC stakeholders in developing analytical routines to achieve their objectives. Clearly articulate and present design solutions, rationale issues and tradeoffs.
• Develop dashboard prototypes with short turnaround time utilizing MS Access, PowerBI, etc.
• Collaborate with other OTBRC stakeholders to integrate data mining results with existing systems and platforms.
• Possess the ability to operate independently on complex projects and problem solve on the fly to ensure deliverables are met.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of experience in business analysis, project management, process improvement, technology and/or leadership of complex units.
• Ability to drive new initiatives and proof of concepts with stakeholders, with the ability to assess requirements and establish timelines for each analysis project.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of management, as well as good analytical and communication skills.
• Must possess strong knowledge and real life experience in working with SQL (Hive)
• Advanced Excel experience with the ability to validate outputs as they are automated
• Ability to drive new initiatives and proof of concepts with stakeholders, with the ability to assess requirements and establish timelines for each analysis project.

Education:

• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
