Norstella is a company growing both organically and through mergers and acquisitions. We are made up of five companies and have multiple commercial system instances which creates the need for a high degree of coordination and prioritization over our work across the companies. We are seeking a highly skilled and organized professional to join our team as a Sr Salesforce Product Owner. In this role, you will collaborate with Salesforce administrators, Business Intelligence (BI) teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation and release of work within our Salesforce and Tableau environments. Your primary focus will be on prioritizing, coordinating, and managing the release process, resources, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

1. Release Management: Coordinate and oversee the development and release process for Commercial Systems team, ensuring efficient deployment of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

2. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Salesforce admins, BI teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize work, and ensure clear communication throughout the release cycle.

3. Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to optimize operational processes, workflows, and procedures related to Salesforce systems, aiming for increased efficiency and effectiveness.

4. Project Planning and Coordination: Work closely with program managers and cross-functional teams to develop project plans, allocate resources, define milestones, and track progress, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

5. Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies related to Salesforce and BI operations and releases, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.

6. Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce quality standards and best practices for Salesforce operations, releases, and data integrity.

7. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation, guidelines, and training materials related to Salesforce processes, workflows, and release management.

8. Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Salesforce operations, incorporating relevant advancements into our processes.

9. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Salesforce administrators, BI teams, business users, and IT teams, ensuring alignment and addressing any concerns or issues.

10. Other Duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in Salesforce, project and/or release management and business analysis documentation
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities and limitations, as well as BI tools and data analysis methodologies.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully coordinating and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools, such as Scrum or Kanban and/or experience in release management through Sprints.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Advanced Administrator) and experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) are highly desirable.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $160,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
