In this role, a typical day will include:

• Perform non-routine testing to support special projects.
• Write or review validation protocols and technical reports.
• Execute analytical method development, validation and method/product transfer protocols.
• Collect, calculate, interpret and trend test results.
• Enter and report test results.
• Write SOPs related to testing programs, laboratory operations and/or equipment operation.
• Investigate laboratory quality issues and recommend sound corrective actions and resolution.
• Conduct peer review and approval of data collected by coworkers.
• Lead laboratory initiatives or programs.
• Train analysts on internal procedures and test methods.
• Perform statistical analysis.
• Utilize change control systems and Inventory management.
• Act as an SME for critical processes and testing.
• Support tracking and reporting laboratory performance metrics.
• Perform equipment qualification/validation.
• Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting of laboratory issues and methodology.
• Support other departments to ensure smooth execution of work.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

What you'll bring to Alcon:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience
• 1 Year of Demonstrated Leadership
• Work hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in microbiology lab with understanding of relevant tests such as Endotoxin, Bioburden, Sterility.
• Analytical Thinker/ Troubleshoot.
• Collaborator
• Experience with Endocscan, Isolator, Air Sampler.
