Sr. Scrum Master
Job Description
Duration :1 year (contract)
Location : Beaverton, OR (Hybrid)
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Senior Scrum Master, you will partner with Product Managers and the engineering team to develop and enhance the capabilities of the product creation systems. Additionally, as a Senior Scrum master, there is a heavy emphasis on mentoring others on Agile practices, principles, and values while advancing the Agile capabilities of the team as the expert resource.
Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years' experience in program management or technical leadership
- Comprehensive understanding of software development processes, including continuous delivery, DevOps, Scrum, and Kanban; advanced Agile mindset and expertise
- Familiarity with domain driven and microservice architecture
- Familiarity with Cloud Native applications on AWS a plus
- Extensive Scrum experience, developing and cultivating a diverse team
- Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- A consistent track record improving Agile maturity of the squad through coaching/mentorship and developing talent
- Demonstrated experience in driving continuous process improvements in the team's value stream; championing a continuous improvement culture and mindset
- A deep understanding of what it takes to ship software iteratively in collaboration with large engineering, design, and product teams
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and proven experience leading discussions with senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in technology or e-commerce
Key Accountabilities
- Drive measurable results and influence others towards business objectives, regardless of reporting structure
- Partner cross-functionally to execute cross-team initiatives in a scaled agile environment
- Formulate and drive impactful recommendations to solve complex problems
- Cultivate a culture of inclusion and promote a growth mentality among teams and collaborators
- Hold cross-functional partners accountable when there is a need to scope flexible engineering solutions fast and efficiently in order to meet the consumer need
- Act as a coach, thought partner, and Agile evangelist across the business in service to the consumer
- Set the tone of operations by fostering a culture of trust and collaboration
- Identify, remove and escalate risks, roadblocks and cross-team dependencies that are unresolvable by the team and interfere with the team's ability to deliver
- Facilitate the team's retrospectives to support team problem solving
