Sr. Security Architect

As a Security Architect you will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and improving security architecture while also ensuring that existing and new security solutions align with business objectives. This role will be responsible for ensuring technical security solutions are implemented and maintained in accordance with security best practices and organizational requirements. This individual will work among network, systems, and software engineering teams to ensure protection of company assets and data.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Architectural Reviews: Conduct architectural design reviews for alignment with established security standards. Advise on security measures for company cloud environments, networks, systems, applications, and data protection.

• Security By Design: Assess system design standards for inclusion of robust security principles.

• Technology Evaluation: Evaluate technologies, platforms, and libraries used systems for potential security issues.

• Collaborate with the security compliance team to understand and incorporate relevant compliance standards into system architecture.

• Security Control Validation: Validate that the security controls are effectively mitigating identified risks.

What We Look For In You:

• 6+ years of Information Security experience

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Security Architect, or similar position.

• Strong knowledge of industry standard security architectures.

• Analytic approach to security architecture and the ability to translate security industry standards/best practices to actionable requirements.

• Effectively present information, ideas, and perspective to team members and managers

• Network and System Security Knowledge: Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, databases, encryption, and other fundamental IT concepts.

• Security Technologies Expertise: Proficiency in a range of security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint security solutions, DLP, CASB, etc.

• Cloud Security: Knowledge of cloud platforms and associated security best practices.

• Understanding of Threat Landscape: Knowledge of current and emerging threats, as well as strategies and technologies for defending against those threats. This includes the ability to conduct threat modeling and risk assessments.

• Knowledge of Security Frameworks and Standards: Understanding of security and compliance standards like ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, PCI-DSS, GDPR, and others
