Sr. ServiceNow Architect/Developer

Our client is hiring a Sr. ServiceNow Architect/Developer to join our IT Service Management Office. The Sr ServiceNow Architect/Developer will be responsible for defining the current and future state architecture for the ServiceNow platform and Automation capabilities, ensure interoperability and scalability across the platform and core system configuration. The candidate will assess, design, and implement the processes and configuration standards for the current and future ServiceNow capabilities.

Requirements

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):• Define product strategies, architecture, and best practices. • Define the current and future state architecture for the ServiceNow platform and Automation capabilities. • Ensure interoperability and scalability across the platform and core system configuration. • Design, and implement the processes and configuration standards for the current and future ServiceNow capabilities. • Perform ServiceNow implementation tasks including but not limited to configuration, integration, custom programming. • Develop clear and concise technical & process documentation. • Conduct peer review, as required. • Participate in design review sessions with various stakeholders to validate design is as per requirements. • Design and develop reusable components Analyze and reuse such developed components from the repository during the design process. • Maintain the integrity of the ServiceNow tool across production and non-production environments. • Understand new ServiceNow features and unused module functionality to drive platform expansion and adoption. • Perform installation and testing of vendor-provided updates and new releases. • Lead technical analysis of additional module implementations within ServiceNow, including requirements gathering, process modeling and gap analysis and mitigation. • Support the design of ServiceNow integrations and work with business partners and technical teams for implementation. • Identify and define business solutions for ITIL users. • Define and promote business product changes which continuously increase maturity and sustain each level of maturity. • Drive ServiceNow product improvement by testing and adopting out-of-box processes and supporting tools. • Provide input on technical effort estimation to arrive at resourcing plans. • Raise concerns regarding changes in timelines and expectations with customer point of contact to resolve the same. • Support the onboarding of new agencies and users onto the ServiceNow platform. • Act as SME for all ServiceNow, user facing functions, including ticket creation and management, reporting, dashboards, Performance Analytics, data exports, integrations, etc• Participate in the upgrade cycle for ServiceNow, including coordination of clones, upgrades, and testing (via use of the Automated Test Framework). • Maintain an ongoing knowledge of the ServiceNow product, version upgrades and enhancements, new features, etc

Preferred Qualifications: • Minimum 8+ years of direct experience as a ServiceNow Architect, Developer, Admin, or application owner, configuring core ServiceNow modules including Service Catalog, Asset, and Configuration • ServiceNow certifications/experience in ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, GRC, HR, CRM • Information Architecture - ServiceNow Common Services Data structures a big plus • ServiceNow custom application/portal experience • Ability to "think big" and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology refresh and hype. • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and learn new concepts quickly. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities. • Demonstrated understanding of ITIL processes, operations, and procedures • Advanced Scripting/ Reporting and other classes area highly recommended • ITIL V3 Foundation Certification (Preferred, but not required)
