This position is governed by a local union contract.

Job Summary:

• As a member of the NRG Business Digital and Automation Team, deliver Automated Solutions for Software Services and Business processes to drive efficiency, efficacy and Business Agility. This will involve working closely with multiple teams to identify opportunities for process automation, the orchestrated use of multiple technologies, tools or platforms such as Event driven software architecture, Business Process Management, Low code/no code tools and packaged software. Collaborate with multiple Business units to understand how automation can improve workflow. Gather requirements in order to develop the best automation solution. Identify Quality related opportunities as part of the Release or Business processes.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Automated Processes and Solutions that improve Business Productivity and enhance the Customer Experience.
• Develop and grow partnerships with cross-functional IT/Business teams and have strong communication skills.
• Enable and deliver High Quality Process Automation solutions with minimal direction and prioritize appropriately in order to deliver the desired outcome.
• Gather and analyze operational data to gain insights for Process Automation recommendations.
• Review existing Automated solutions, evaluate for efficacy and efficiency and make improvements as needed.
• Be an advocate of Process Automation, drive best practices and Quality.

Working Conditions:

• Open office environment.
• Some overtime required as special projects arise.
• Travel (minimal).

Minimum Requirements:

• Computer Engineering or similar Engineering or Technical discipline.
• 5+ year's experience Programming in at least 2 or more common computer languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, SQL
• 3+ year's experience of delivering Software Automation Solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Proven experience in either a Development or Testing capacity (ISTQB Advanced Certificate)
• Deep understanding and knowledge of Software Automation Industry tools and techniques
• Good general understanding of at least two of the following technical disciplines: Infrastructure and network design, application development, application programming interfaces (APIs), database management, DevOps, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Process Mining and Business Process Management (BPM).
• IEEE Computer Society - Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP)
• Institute of Certification of Computing Professionals (ICCP) - Certified Software Engineer

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated capability of Project Delivery including budget/financial Management
• Highly proficient Analytical skills and good attention to detail
• Proven ability to communicate effectively including confidence in presenting to stakeholders
