Sr. Software Developer

As Sr. Software Developer, you will provide sound technical leadership for development, design, and scaling of a new web application positioned to reinvent the insurance market. Your technical skills and knowledge will assist in providing users the best experience possible while keeping us competitive in the market. In this role, you will not only lead but also operate alongside all development efforts and personnel both internal and external. Through these responsibilities you will bring new life to an organization's health plan and be a key driver in our internal efficiency. Requirements
- Create elegant solutions to complex problems
- Proven experience in a relevant S.E.M., lead, or equivalent engineering role
- Understanding of budgets and business-planning
- Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership and organizational abilities
- At least 5 years' experience in SaaS or similar fast paced development environment
- At least 3 years' of insurance or financial technology platforms preferred.
- Strategic thinking
- Problem-solving aptitude
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and Sprint best practices
- Knowledgeable with Cloud Technologies (Azure, AWS, Google, etc)
- Experience with Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
- Experience with Version Control (Git)
- Experience with User-story mapping
- Ability to manage a growing team of Engineers
