About the Role:

Our Mobility Management Team owns our enterprise-grade Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile App Management (MAM) solutions. This enables fleet managers to control their drivers’ experience with the click of a button.  

We’re currently reinventing our MDM and MAM solutions, bringing many new challenges and opportunities to influence the architecture of our codebase. If you’re excited by the idea of solving complex challenges and working with an incredibly talented team, then this is the position for you!

Our engineering teams are classic agile “two pizza teams” of 3-10 developers and SDETs, plus Product Owner and Scrum Master. With Platform Science well-funded and in hyper-growth, our teams need to build, fork and specialize to deliver on that promise. What we’re looking for:

• A true full-stack developer, with a passion for, and skills on, both the front and back end
• Experienced with full-stack development in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experienced with Vue or a related modern front end framework such as React or Angular
• Experienced with Node.js and Express
• Experienced with API design, development and maintenance in production (REST)
• Have an ability to discuss the fundamentals of testing, its different types and why they matter
• Experienced with CI/CD, deployment tools, pipelines and processes
• Familiar with software development best practices and principles (e.g. Docker, microservices, etc)
• Loves to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
• Able to demonstrate ownership of, not just participation in, multiple successful, related projects
• A team player
• Always excited to lift others on the team up
• Not afraid to ask for help

What will make you stand out (not required):

• Experience with the Vuetify library for material design in Vue
• Microservice Architecture Design
• Leadership experience and an interest in technical leadership or management
• Database design and optimization experience
  • Particularly Relational Databases and SQL.
• Breadth and depth of experience with multiple server-side languages/frameworks:
  • Particularly Node/Express, PHP/Laravel. Others are welcome
• API Development
  
  • API Gateway, Lambda, Node, Serverless, REST
• Android Enterprise MAM & MDM experience
• A bachelor’s degree in software engineering or equivalent

Our job titles for each posting may span across more than one job level. The estimated base salary for this role is between $118,408 and $187,125. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salaries across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant trainings and certifications, business needs, market demands and specific geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
