Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Java-based applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, adhering to coding standards and best practices. Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving technical issues will also be part of your responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java/J2EE software development and web technologies, along with proficiency in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and web application frameworks. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for creating innovative solutions, we encourage you to apply.

Your Role:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Java-based applications.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Implementing and adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  • Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving technical issues.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT work experience focused on systems development and programming using Java/J2EE software development and web technologies.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design, and architectural patterns.
  • Proficiency in coding reusable libraries and concurrency patterns in Java.
  • Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, RESTful, and web application frameworks.
  • Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
  • Development experience in Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate frameworks.
  • Knowledge of migrating GUI-based/Web API applications across higher JDK versions.
  • Ability to create complex Java classes/wrapper programs to trigger third-party application programs.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with tools such as Jira.
  • Strong experience in writing JDBC programs and setting up database connection pooling.
  • Familiarity with client-side user interface frameworks such as Angular (v5+) and Bootstrap.
  • Proficiency with unit test frameworks including Junit, Jenkins, Mockito, and Contrast.
  • Skillful in tools/technologies such as Git, GitHub Desktop, Node.js, Java 8, TypeScript, JavaScript, and JSP.
  • Experience using SOAP UI, Spring STS or VS Code

As a Senior Java Developer, you bring a wealth of expertise to the table. Operating as a seasoned professional, you excel as an individual contributor, often working autonomously with minimal supervision. You might oversee projects or processes, offering guidance and reviewing the work of junior team members. The challenges you face are significant, often complex, yet you navigate them with adeptness, influencing others with your insights into policies, practices, and procedures.

Your role extends beyond mere problem-solving; you're a proactive force, providing innovative solutions to intricate technical and business matters. You champion major projects and initiatives, showcasing your creativity and ingenuity. Your experience allows you to mentor and support less experienced colleagues, sharing your knowledge and expertise to elevate the team as a whole.

Within the work group, you assume a leadership position, leveraging your specialized knowledge to steer priorities effectively. Your mastery of technical or business skills is evident, and if your focus lies on customer relations, you possess the acumen to foster lasting connections.

A four-year college degree or equivalent experience in a related field is required, with a minimum of five years' functional experience, including at least three years in a specific role. Your contributions to processes and systems are substantial, and you're poised to make a significant impact in this role.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,000.00 - $173,400.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

At Ingram Micro certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives and long-term incentives. These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance. U.S.-based employees have access to healthcare benefits, paid time off, parental leave, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others.
