Sr. Software Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Software Engineer works collaboratively with engineering management, product managers and other software engineers to develop new product offerings and improve existing installed or SAAS solutions for clients within the financial services industry. Develop and coordinate estimates for software defects, new features, and enhancements that are included in service releases. Contribute to new product development and product enhancements. Design, document, code, and deploy new features and defects for system related issues (including the creation of T-SQL queries, creation of web services, client-side JavaScript (including jQuery) and .NET development). Produce high-level estimates for proposed projects, poker planning for future features, and task estimates for software defects and features at sprint planning. Develop and improve installation procedures, test software applications and various modules in accordance with development standards and procedures.

Job Requirements

The qualified candidate must have at least a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Information Technology or closely related field. The qualified candidate must have at least 2 years (24 months) of experience in a software engineer position, or closely related occupation. The qualified candidate must have at least 2 years (24 months) of experience with all the following: (a) analyzing business requirements in order to design documentation and define technical deliverables; (b) configuring and improving authentication and authorization processes; (c) creating, modifying, and simplifying scripts for table installation; (d) configuring and maintaining automated continuous integration (CI)/continuous deployment (CD) pipelines for builds and deployments; (e) leveraging design patterns for problems such as scalability and fault tolerance; (f) maintaining and reviewing source code using Git and GitHub; (g) troubleshooting applications and resolving bugs including documenting technical software fixes; and (h) utilizing all the following tools/technologies: .NET Framework, Entity Framework, C#, WCF, AJAX, Visual Studio, Code, HTML, T-SQL, CSS, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, Dapper, Web Api, C#, IdentityServer4, Knockout Js, Jenkins and Angular. All experience may be gained concurrently.
