POSITION OVERVIEW

This role is an exciting opportunity for the candidate who wants to make a difference within an expanding organization and be a part of a growing global industry. The Senior Software Engineer - Integrations role stands apart from other roles in an IT Organization. Each day offers the opportunity to use multiple technologies across different systems, departments, and lines of business.

This role is perfect for those who have years of experience developing integrations between customers and systems.

The Senior Software Engineer - Integrations role will develop, coordinate, implement, and communicate the organization's integration initiatives on our custom-built platform. You will be communicating daily with our top customers and their technology teams. You will be tasked with the creation and modification of existing API/EDI/Enterprise integrations.

This position reports to the Integration Manager within the IT department of ITS Logistics, located in downtown Reno.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Become intimately familiar with our business model and processes to influence the strategy and direction of product development.

- Design and develop technical solutions that satisfy the objectives stated in the business requirements; follow industry best practices, techniques, and ITS Logistics standardized processes to deliver new and improved data integrations.

- Develop integrations using a variety of technologies including Azure Logic Apps, Function Apps in C#, and/or Python.

- Create and update standard and custom maps using BizTalk and/or MapForce.

- Lead the design and development of complex EDI, API, and Enterprise Integrations.

- Effectively interact and communicate with trading partners, coworkers, and management on a regular basis.

- Proactively provide input to engineers and business stakeholders with respect to technical decisions being made.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to associate and mid-level engineers.

- Participate in a production support rotation identifying, diagnosing, and resolving EDI, API, and Application Integration issues.

Position Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated individual that works well in team environments and has a passion for data. The individual must be attentive to detail, be able to develop a strong understanding of our business model and be able to work together with our management team and our customers to create products that are requested.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

- 5+ Years of experience developing EDI, API, and/or Enterprise Integrations.

- 5+ Years of experience developing Azure Logic Apps, Function Apps in C#, and/or Python.

- Experience with SQL Server Queries, Views, and Stored Procs.

- An understanding of AS2, FTP and SFTP connections.

- Familiarity with internet protocols including XML, HTTPS, FTP and JSON.

- Familiarity with source control tools.

- Good written and oral skills.

- Good interpersonal skills.
