Overview:

• Sr developer as part of a team of highly skilled engineers who automate and transform delivery of products in Azure. The Team and Scope of this role:
• The SaaS Build Automation team helps build the next generation of BY Supply Chain SaaS applications; these applications are being built from the ground up to take advantage of current and emerging technologies and practices.
• The Sr SW Engineer will be a senior developer on the Build Automation team implementing CI/CD for mission critical services and serving as a liaison between the SaaS Operations/Build Automation and Product Development teams.
• Application delivery automation and implementing tools/platforms to support rapid delivery and help reduce time to market of new software releases via CI/CD pipelines and GitOps.
• The team consists of Software Engineers with Build Automation experience, APM experience and Cloud Devops experience; the incumbent will be a part of this growing team.

Who is your ideal candidate?

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience with product development and/or automation and development operations. Experience with industry-leading tools and processes to enforce strong development practices and modularized components is preferred.

What is your current tech stack environment

• Azure infrastructure environment
• Mixture of native SaaS as well as non-SaaS applications that are being modernized and transformed for delivery in Azure
• Agile development methodologies

Responsibilities

• Automate infrastructure and product deployment in Azure
• Champion best practices for product and related infrastructure deployment, ensuring quality and streamlined support of the deployed software and related operational infrastructure
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and processes
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Work collaboratively with product teams to understand requirements and streamline delivery of value to customers as new releases are developed.
• Remain current with agile development methodologies as implemented in Blue Yonder
• Develop validation and testing frameworks for deployments to ensure correct configuration.
• Inspires fellow engineers to become better at their craft and gives practical advice on writing cleaner code and effective tests.
• Drives architecture and designs to become simpler, more robust, and more efficient.
• Continuously extends their technological knowledge

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science
• At least 6 years of experience in development, with a range of technologies related to delivery of highly automated solutions
• Senior level experience in software engineering with a focus on DevOps and/or SRE
• Azure or other public Cloud experience
