Sr. Software Engineer (Helix)

This is a “hands-on” position requiring very effective technical skills, as well as good interpersonal and communication skills. In this role you will be the face and advocate for software development at Q2 and helping the organization mature its best practices when dealing with product development / banking software. The ability to troubleshoot and solve advanced .NET / SQL performance issues, automate complex tasks, and write custom solutions to problems will be critical to the success of this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere fanatically to lean software development and continuous delivery methodologies
• Research, architect, and build sub-systems that successfully integrate with new and existing platforms
• Dissolve complex requirements into meaningful, manageable units of work
• Thrive on a small team of highly skilled, motivated peers
• Apply advanced design patterns and technologies when appropriate without over-engineering solutions
• Own the responsibility of developing high quality software with the right balance of test automation
• Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
• Communicate and document efforts to both technical and non-technical audiences

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 12+ years of experience software development
• 6+ years Microsoft technologies experience required
• Experience with Database programming
• Strong Experience with Microsoft .Net Programming
• 2+ years of experience consuming/creating JSON-based, RESTful APIs
• 4+ years of experience with C# and .NET
• Working experience in Windows Clustering, partitioning, purging concepts
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud (IAAS)
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to organize and plan work independently is critical.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
• Knowledge on Microsoft cloud managed DBs/Systems,
• .NET or other object-oriented development experience a big plus
• Domain knowledge and experience in the banking/fintech industry is a plus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in FINTECH/ Banking as a Service or relevant area
• Experience with Modern Lakehouse Architecture
• Experience with Modern Data Ingestion/Egression
• Experience with Multi Cloud tech stack
• Experience with a data catalog solution
