Sr. Software Engineer, Integration - Epic Bridges
Job Description

Ideal experience:
Draw on knowledge of Intersystems Ensemble software & Epic Bridges, current issues and trends in health care and clinical operations in healthcare to support core functions of the hospital applications systems to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care.
Install, configure, administer and support the Intersystems Ensemble Interface system with minimal guidance from senior members of team. Act as second level of support and triage system problems regarding Intersystems Ensemble, working in server operating systems such as AIX 6.1 and Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012 and Microsoft Office.
Assist in the implementation of medium complexity tools and workflows, using UNIX shell scripting and WinBatch scripting skills. Lead small to medium complexity software upgrade initiatives or enhancements to workflows, including diagnosing and resolving routine technology problems. Lead test activities for small to medium complexity new implementation, enhancements or upgrades.
Modify database tables; make additions and changes as required. Implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with hospital and departmental policies and procedures, and using effective approaches to choose a course of action or develop appropriate solutions or conclusions.
Take ownership of low to medium complexity issues and act as a liaison between customer and other support staff to facilitate resolution, using appropriate interpersonal skills to give and receive information in a tactful and professional manner.
Perform role of project manager or project coordinator for small projects, including establishing a set of tasks and activities associated with the intended outcome and timeline.
Assist in developing and maintaining requirements/specifications and test cases for new or enhanced functionality to department applications, demonstrating a desire to learn to resolve specialized and advanced technology problems.
Participate in team and cross-team meetings and maintain appropriate meeting records. Provide ongoing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of applications; including 24/7 on call coverage as required.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with HL7 standards and the C-I-CARE Standards of the Hospital, which are the foundation of Stanford, is patient experience, representing a framework for patient-centered interactions.
Ideal requirements:
1.3 years of IT experience with health care provider organizations utilizing Intersystems Ensemble interface engine.
2.3 years of OOPS - Cache programming.
3.3 years of experience UNIX shell scripting and WinBatch scripting.
4.3 Years of experience in HL7, X12, EDI, CCD and ANSI formats with parser development experience.
5.2 years of experience with Epic Bridges, including certification and use of Epic Bridges in at least one Epic implementation.
6.2 years of experience in Cache programming & administration, SU install.

A Brief Overview
The Sr Software Engineer-Integrations' primary responsibilities are to analyze, design, implement and test customized software applications/integrations. The Developer will have a strong knowledge of software development and design and will have experience working to develop business-critical applications. This position will collaborate with a diverse group of product managers, designers, engineers, and infrastructure teams to build and deliver robust front-end web solutions that showcase SHC's brand while providing a high-quality experience for patients and providers.

- Designs, develops, and maintains complex integrations
- Develops unit tests and provides code coverage to accurately test business logic and functionality.
- Participates in developing specifications such as user stories and designs
- Solves or recommends solutions for complex issues and problems
- Assist in the development of logical and physical specifications
- Documents designs, issues, solutions, tips & tricks as needed
- Fosters a team approach to software development and delivery
- Stays current in new IT technologies to maintain a high level of subject matter expertise.
- Expertise in a number of areas including cloud computing, API integration, cloud messaging, ground- -to- -cloud connectivity, highly scalable distributed systems.
- Implement and Deploy MuleSoft Anypoint Solutions.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Science, or equivalent from an accredited college or university required.
Experience Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Java development and concepts, including debugging against Java APIs required.
- 5+ years of experience with JEE Application Servers and Containers (administration, deployment, and/or development in Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, Spring, etc.) required.
- Experience with SOAP and/or Web Services required.
- 5+ years of experience providing technical solutions development for enterprise software or hosted high- -tech services using JEE and/or JSE framework required.
- 5+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- MuleSoft integrations and customizations
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
- MuleSoft development
- Experience working with RAML using MuleSoft
- Solid understanding of the design patterns
- Experience with MuleSoft MMC and Enterprise release capabilities is a plus
- Experience with Tomcat, XML, JMS, WS and SOA/Integration technologies
- Experience using a JAVA IDE (Eclipse, Intelli J, Netbeans)
- Experience using Maven
- Experience profiling Java applications including threading issues and examining thread dumps
- Integration product support from integration vendors like IBM, BEA, Oracle, Tibco, etc.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $72.49 - $96.06 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
