Role : Sr Software Engineer - Java Fullstack

Overview, team, and Scope :

• In Blue Yonder, Luminate Commerce Product Development team builds supply chain products for the commerce space especially around last mile order fulfillment and commerce customer experience.
• This team is focused on building a cutting-edge AI/ML product to improve the perfect order score for some of the world's largest retailers.
• Presently our team consists of 20+ global team members in software development (software engineers, data engineers, data scientists), QA and Agile process owners.
• Over the next six months, we will be building a cutting-edge AI/ML product to improve the perfect order score for some of the world's largest retailers.
• In this role, you will be increasing automating data ingestion, improving our AI-driven predictive insights, and continuing to drive enterprise-wide collaboration through alerts and workflow.
• As a Senior Engineer, you serve as a specialist in the engineering team; we are looking for engineers to build innovative and well-designed software, and be a part of groundbreaking technological innovation, strategic thinking, and visionary goals.

Our current technical landscape

• Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, ReactJS Web UI, No-code/Low-code Mobility Framework.
• Google cloud and Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Agile development methodologies
• Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS, Spring Boot, Gradle GIT, Hazelcast.
• Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture.

What you will do:

• Be a significant code contributor, own and be accountable for your work, drive best practices and ensure the development of high-quality code
• Focus on increasing the throughput of our streaming sync data pipeline to handle millions of orders and commits events at scale, in real time.
• Develop and gain insight in the application architecture; distill an abstract architecture into concrete design and influence the implementation.
• Apply the appropriate software engineering patterns to build robust and scalable systems
• Understand the landscape of functional area the luminate products offer.
• Lead support analysis for product issues.
• Lead triage of defects raised by QA or customer and provide workaround recommendations and as long-term fix recommendations
• Influence fellow engineers by proposing software designs, providing feedback on software designs and/or implementation.
• Good problem-solving skills and can help the team in triaging operational issues; you will leverage your expertise in eliminating repeat occurrences.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree (STEM preferred) and minimum 6+ years of experience in Software development. Ideally a candidate that has started as a Software Engineer and progressed to Lead or Senior Software Engineer.
• Strong programming experience and background in Enterprise Java /JEE application Development
• Full Stack developer
• Experience in developing UI components with React JS, Typescript , HTML5, CSS, preferably Material UI experience
• Experience in using spring and SpringBoot framework
• Microservices development in the last two years with demonstrable experience in REST design patterns and rich understanding of microservices Architecture
• Experience working on JUnit, Spock or other such testing frameworks
• Experience with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven and Gradle.
• Experience with varied tools such as NoSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka,.
• Ability to quickly build credibility, rapport, and trusted advisor standing with customer Success.
• Comfortable operating in dotted-line or no-line organizations where contributions need to be solicited.
• Ability and comfortable in working with global teams spanning multiple time zones

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with implementation of Event driven architecture using Kafka or similar technologies
• Experiences with the big data analytics engines, Spark, Synapse
• Demonstrable experience with microservices based architecture on Cloud at scale.
• Demonstrable experience in Cloud native architecture, Distributed micro-services, Multi-tenant SaaS solution and Cloud Scalability, performance and High availability
• Exposure to reactive code paradigm.
• Exposure to cloud environments like GCP or AZURE (or AWS)
• Experience in Supply Chain and e-commerce space.
