Position Reports to: Engineering Manager- Cloud/Mobile Platform

What We Need:

Brady is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (QA) to join one of our software development teams, using modern development practices and the latest technology stack. Bring your engineering strengths and passion, to help Brady create industry leading ecommerce solutions that meet the safety, identification, asset tracking and compliance needs of our global customers. The core purpose of this position is to plan and build QA automation frameworks, and develop/assist in the development of tests that run on these frameworks. If you love to solve complex problems, working with new cloud-based technologies like Microsoft Azure and pushing the envelope on existing technologies, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Advocate/promote the practice of automated testing as part of a Scrum team
• Ability to architect and develop strategies to test the system at all levels of the application stack
• Build, manage and execute automated test suites to exercise our world-class software to verify the growing feature sets and customer requirements
• Work with and mentor junior engineers
• Automate select systems administration tasks through creation and maintenance of scripts and tools
• Suggests technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systems

What You'll Need To Be Successful:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience, preferably in enterprise, cloud, or XaaS architectures
• Proficient in using test automation tools related to unit, integration and UI tests (primary technology skill)
• Understanding of TDD and BDD with the desire to coach novice developers
• Experience with the package managers (e.g. NPM, NuGet)
• Understanding of web protocols and tools
• Experience with build systems and version control systems (e.g. Jenkins, TFS, Git)
• Some experience with various mobile test platforms
• Strengths in SQA methodologies, feature coverage analysis and commitment to quality

Desired Knowledge, Skills Abilities:

• Experience in one or more of the following languages: C#, Python, Javascript and/or C/C++
• Experience with SaaS and PaaS (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google cloud,etc.)
• Experience with mobile development with Xamarin, Ionic, or similar technologies
