Our team is focused on making sure that our core web application, its infrastructure, development environments, and delivery pipeline are built to scale with WP Engine. Your work will directly impact our end-users and WP Engine's internal development teams, as we make our system and tools more consistent, secure, and performant. The day to day.

• Maintaining and modernizing our application's cloud-based infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and peak performance.
• Providing operational support for our web application, pipeline, and API framework
• Constantly look for opportunities to improve operational effectiveness through reusable solutions, automation, and APIs
• Expanding and fine-tuning observability tools to create better engineering feedback loops
• Encouraging and driving the implementation of industry leading engineering practices
• Providing ongoing technical leadership and mentorship to your teammates

Your skills and expertise.

• 3+ years experience in a software development or DevOps role, building and running production-ready systems and applications
• Experience with the following technologies: Heroku, GCP, Terraform, GitHub, CloudBuild, Docker
• Production experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with server-side web development (Ruby on Rails)
• History of problem solving and taking ownership of features, with a team, on short and long-running projects
• Continuous learning attitude and an eagerness to dive in to tackle exciting problems
• Outstanding capacity to connect with others through strong written and verbal communication skills
