The Solution Architect/Sales Engineer/vCIO is responsible for uncovering customer requirements while designing reliable, secure, efficient, and cost effective IT solutions. The role will also carry a responsibility to explore new technologies to be included in enVista's Managed Services portfolio, develop statements of work, financial models and high-level design in support of client proposals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for consulting with prospective customers identifying business and technical problems, objectives and priorities relevant to our Managed Service offerings, while providing customer insight into new Managed Service offerings.
  • Analyze current technologies used within Managed Services and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work with vendors to assess vendor products, understand vendor delivery model, licensing, and best practices.
  • Provide detailed specification(s) representing business, technical and financial characteristics for proposed solutions.
  • Liaise directly with other Sales and Delivery Team Members to ensure a coordinated, intimate and professional experience for the customer throughout the sales process.
  • Lead, prepare and deliver (in partnership with the Sales team) custom presentations and demonstrations to the customer on the benefits of our proposed solution.
  • Discern what questions prospects are not asking, and lead them in that direction, effectively identifying and understanding pain points.
  • Recommend the proper solution, design and configuration to meet the customer's needs.
  • Cultivate a strong interactive trusted advisor relationship with customer contacts.

Skills and Experience Needed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related work experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in a customer facing solutioning role is required.
  • 3- 5 years of consulting, technical sales, or application service delivery experience required.
  • Azure, AWS, GCP, or other cloud and/or infrastructure certifications are encouraged,
  • Broad background encompassing many facets of IT is required.
  • Experience with Managed Services including the familiarity with common enterprise services (Directory Services, Information Governance, Virtual Desktops, VMWare,), software (Microsoft, SAP, Oracle) and frameworks (ITIL,TOGAF, Agile, DevSecOps).
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience with architecting solutions serving medium sized businesses ($250m - $3b) representing a total contract value greater than $5m.
  • Domain or vertical expertise needed to close sales opportunities is required.
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical, numerical, planning and reasoning abilities.
  • Expected Travel Time: 25 - 50%
  • This position will be based out of Carmel, IN
