Job Description:

This ideal architect has spent years honing knowledge and skills in leveraging applications to drive efficiency. The architect is a natural and inspired learner who is always seeking to solve problems, learn new possibilities, and exploit opportunities that move the business forward. The individual is someone that people notice and commend on their Customer Service skills.

The M365 Solutions Architect plays a crucial role in the organization by serving as a subject matter expert (SME), combining technical expertise with a strong understanding of business needs to create impactful solutions and drive M365 adoption within the organization, including automation at every opportunity. Strong documentation skills are required as this role is an escalation path for lower support tiers.

This outgoing, experienced, high-energy, and self-motivated individual provides technical proficiency in efficiently completing project initiatives and tasks for the rest of the business as a member of a technology support and services team. This role is a self-starter and collaborates within IT, with peer groups, and with vendors to provide world-class M365 adoption and within the organization.

The ideal Solutions Architect is organized, analytical, capable of solving business problems through technology, and has a strong drive and passion for business enablement through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and excellent communication. The ideal architect is a passionate, results-oriented technologist who enjoys learning new technologies and getting elbows deep with something new.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • User Education and Empowerment: They actively engage with users, providing education and training on how to fully utilize M365 tools. This involves conducting workshops, creating documentation, and offering guidance to ensure users can leverage M365 effectively.
  • Designing Solutions: The M365 Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and architecting solutions that address business problems. They analyze requirements, consider existing M365 products, applications, and services, and create effective solutions.
  • Driving Adoption: The Solutions Architect focuses on promoting adoption of M365 throughout the enterprise. They work closely with stakeholders to encourage usage, monitor adoption rates, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Technical Expertise: As an SME, the Solutions Architect possesses in-depth knowledge of M365 products, their capabilities, and best practices. They guide users on how to maximize productivity and efficiency using these tools.

Qualifications:

  • Mentor-level experience of M365 products, applications, and services.
  • Takes personal ownership for outcomes and performs well with light direction, input, and feedback.
  • Excellent communications skills, relationship skills, and customer service attitude in working with highly technical and non-technical personnel across all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional organization and analysis skills, sophisticated problem-solving ability, and functions well within a team, willing to train and cross-train staff.
  • Works in partnership with teams across the organization on multiple efforts simultaneously and delivers continuous results and improvements.

Education:

  • Preferred - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communication, Technical Writing, Business Administration Management.
  • Microsoft certifications

Experience:

  • 7+ years experience enabling businesses to succeed using Microsoft technology.
  • 2+ years documentation
  • Knowledge and understanding of diverse platforms and operating systems, including current and emerging technologies.
  • Agile/Scrum/Kanban process and environments
  • Adept in at least one programing language

Physical Demands

Typical office environment which includes extended periods of time sitting or standing, working on a personal computer, typing, using a mouse, using a phone, and participating in video conferences, etc.

Additional Information

  • Core hours are Monday - Friday 9:30am - 4:00pm Central Time
  • Minimal travel required

Salary range $110k - $140k
