Sr. Specialist, Advanced Analytics

DIRECTV is seeking a Sr. Specialist in Advanced Analytics for analysis, design, development, and documentation of network quality and process improvements. This strategic leader will be responsible for developing new processes, defining processing or handling requirements, as well as compiling and evaluating test data. While this is not a supervisory role, this individual contributor may provide data mining, reporting, and support to technical network programs and initiatives for network data standards and integrity. Additional key responsibilities of this role include:

• Make recommendations and implement improvements. Review requirements for compatibility with processing methods.
• Develop/modify processes, methods, and controls to meet quality standards. Conduct feasibility studies and recommend process improvements.
• Analyze, track, and publish methods and procedures.
• Analyze data to identify root cause of network problems.
• May provide process improvement training.
• Provide technical support on process and compliance.
• Align improvement to network performance shortfalls.
• Provide consultation on reengineering techniques to improve network process performance and product quality.
• Develop network methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for results.
• Analyze, track, and publish network performance and process/quality indicators and results by constructing reports that are geographically illustrative of network process trends and performance.
• Ensure network process capability, control, and improvement by implementing procedures and interpreting network standards.
• Develop network metrics that provide data to measure for future network improvement opportunities.
• Collect data to identify root cause of network problems. Measure performance against network process requirements.
• Develop and implement network performance metrics, process control points and results management.
• Write/edit technical network manuals.

What you'll need to be successful:

• Typically possesses strong understanding of internal business segment or stakeholders and strong presentation skills.
• Typically requires 5-8 years of related experience in forecasting, performance management, dashboarding, advanced analytics, big data, and relational database structures.
• College degree in Statistics, Analytics, Business, Information Systems, Mathematics and or Computer Science or relative experience in related fields; Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or Business Analyst.

The US base salary range for this Sr. Specialist, Advanced Analytics full-time position is $96,140 - $174,570 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
