Sr. Specialist, Community Engagement

Primary Objective of Position: Support and execute community engagement and marketing communications programs that strengthen Winnebago's connection to its customer community. This role requires someone with exceptional writing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple long-term and short-term projects at once.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Owners Club Support (40%)

• Support Community Engagement Manager in the execution of owners club strategy, including:
  1. Relationship management with discount partners
  2. Brainstorming unique event opportunities and partnering with the Events team to bring them to life
  3. Coordinating the creation of content for owners' community
  4. Day-to-day club administration
  5. Overhauling of technology platforms used to manage the program
  6. Development of the club's community standards as the program evolves
  7. Keeping teams across the organization aware of activities and
• Create and execute communication plans across multiple audiences of Winnebago owners club members
• Write website content for Winnebago owner resources as assigned (could include sourcing existing material or interviewing subject matter experts)
• Manage monthly e-newsletter from end-to-end, including writing/sourcing content, compiling the newsletter, building the email in our email platform, and distributing the newsletter once complete

Ambassador Program Support (40%)

• Track monthly deliverables for our ambassadors, influencers, and partner organizations, including blog content, social media posts, and more
• Schedule monthly check-in calls with ambassadors and gather prep materials for those calls
• Track employee/ambassador attendance at events
• Assist in the assessment of new ambassadors, influencers, and partner organizations as a member of the cross-functional council

Other (20%)

• Write articles for Winnebago GoLife blog (could include interviewing subjects for blog posts) as needed
• Design materials as needed, including information sheets, PowerPoint slides, and more
• Gather competitor/other industry research on various topics, such as ambassador programs, loyalty/owners clubs
• Compile and analyze metrics around newsletter and blog performance to assess the effectiveness
• Monitor Facebook communities for relevant conversations
• Upload content to social media channels as needed (should have familiarity with channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter)
• Support activities of the Marketing team as needed

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage with content in a consistent brand voice demonstrates sensitivity and tact in interpersonal relations. Effective interpersonal skills under all types of conditions, exhibiting a supportive, positive approach
• Proven ability to network and build relationships.
• Self-starter, and team player with a passion for an active outdoor lifestyle a plus.
• Willingness to step in on tasks big and small.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related discipline required OR 6+ years of marketing/communications experience.
• 2+ years of writing experience, preferably content for emails and features/blogs, with comfort interviewing subject matter experts
• 2+ years of graphic design experience, creating infographics, brochures/sell sheets, PowerPoint slides
• 1+ year experience with website content management platforms and web/newsletter analytics tools
• 2+ year experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
