Sr. SQL Database Administrator

Grow your career as Sr. Database Administrator within Trisept Solutions one of our 14 industry-leading brands. In this role you will be responsible for providing operational database services to the organization. Some of the primary responsibilities of this role include owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within Service Level Agreements (SLAs), responding to database related alerts and escalations and working with the rest of department to come up with strategic solutions to recurring problems

A successfulSr. Database Administratorwill:

• Troubleshoot and resolve database problems.
• Establish and maintain communication with internal and external technology customers.
• Initiate and perform changes on development and production systems and proactively escalate any issues that cannot be resolved within the established timeframes
• Perform Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native and 3rd party monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Implement operational automation using scripts.
• Work with Windows server, including Active Directory and proper disk configuration
• Evaluate, Recommend, Configure and Optimize enterprise hardware for SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016 & 2019 in virtual environment.
• Partition, optimize, and manage large datasets (terabytes) for OLTP and OLAP.
• Must be able to work a rotating on call schedule.

A successfulSr. Database Administratorwill have:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or ten or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ten or more years' experience with Database Administration for MSSQL Server versions 2008, 2008R2, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2019.
• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
• Knowledge of Always On High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server.
• Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Working experience using Red-Gate's Toolbelt.
• Working experience with PowerShell to automate such tasks as monitoring and maintenance jobs.
• Working experience with SQL in Azure (IaaS)
• Working experience with SQL in Azure (PaaS) is a plus.
• Working experience with big data and BI data modeling a plus.
