Sr. Staff People Partner

As the Sr. Staff, People Partners, G&A, you will be the primary People Partner for the G&A function. The role will initially be an individual contributor role with the view that it will grow into a leadership role over time. In this role, you will provide strategic HR partnership to the G&A leaders and their teams and drive cross-functional leadership across the people team. You will partner with the leaders in areas such as organizational design, employee relations, culture, and talent enablement to help Databricks' extraordinary growth. You will report to the Vice President, People Partners and will have People Partner responsibility for the Finance & Facilities, People, IT and Legal organizations.
The impact you will have:
- Establish a partnership with senior leadership as a tenured People Partner and trusted coach that can guide important talent decisions and provide advice and expertise which are tailored for Databricks specific needs
- Drive strategic impact with the business through organizational change and development programs, influencing leaders to plan for and address complex organizational design issues for business success and scale.
- Effectively leverage the wider People Team functions and specifically partner with other Talent Acquisition and the People team members to execute Databricks’ business priorities.
- Cross-collaborate with partner teams to design and manage programs in line with our company-wide commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
- Strategic planning with senior leadership and recruiting to develop hiring plans that support our goals and grow the business
- Use data and insights to identify and lead meaningful people initiatives
- Partner and consult with our Employee Relations team to manage employee relations issues such as investigations, handling employee disciplinary issues, and performance management situations
What we look for:
- Experience delivering as a People Partner plus leadership experience
- Experience working in a hyper-scale organization with experience helping companies scale from 5000 to 7000+ employees
- Use of HR analytics to generate insights and present findings back to the business
- Experience building trusted executive relationships
- Experience creating and executing company-wide talent programs
- Success in creating and implementing organizational design solutions
- Knowledge of local employment requirements
